This time of year, is the best time of year. The temperatures are warming up, the days are longer and the excitement of summer is building. Not only am I excited about the long summer days ahead, I’m excited about our new home finally being complete! Since starting this process in July, the waiting, decision making and well, the waiting has been killing me! So, I’ve been trying to distract myself by changing my mind a million times about my interior doors/doorknobs/floors/anything else that goes into a house and by doing what I do best, shopping.
I did a little shopping for home decor early on and then my indecisiveness started to get the best of me. So I switched gears and started taking up stock of summer items. A small taste of warm temps in February made me rush to the store for a pair of shorts, that I wore once and then subsequently stocked up on more shorts and sandals that sat in my closet waiting to be worn.
Well shorts, your time has come.
Despite the fact that I’m in serious need of a tan, these hot pink J. Crew Factory Chinos give me a little color! I’ve worn this top in a previous post, which is pretty much a reflection of how much I’ve been wearing it lately. Another thing I’m loving about this outfit is the House of Harlow necklace I’m wearing. The necklace was a part of my Rocksbox this month. (you can try Rocksbox for free for a month with code brookebff17) I’ve been a Rocksbox member now for about a year and half and still love getting my new box each month. Mainly because I feel like I get to try on jewelry I wouldn’t actually pick out for myself, it helps me step out of my box!
Next, I’m excited to finally get to pull these cute shorts out of hiding. I scored these LOFT Riviera Shorts on a 40% off sale a couple of months ago. They had a small stack tucked away that were on sale and they were literally all my size, which is a hard size to find. I felt like it was meant for me to have a pair. Even though I wanted to buy them all, I chose this striped pair! They are made from a heavy fabric, so they don’t ride up and the length is perfect! I’m definitely going to pick up a few more pairs! I’ve also been wearing this J. Crew Factory top a lot lately. It has a nice comfortable fit, but it is a little sheer, so it requires an under shirt, but that’s no big deal.
How about you, are you loving being able to break out your warm weather wardrobe?
