The older I get, the more I think about my skin. I’m nearing 30 and up until now, I’ve only dabbled in a few skincare products and kept my routine pretty simple. I love simple, but these crow’s feet around my eyes don’t lie. It was time to start taking my skincare routine seriously and really look into protecting my skin, especially in the summer sun.
In comes Skin Resource.MD. Developed by a team of certified and practicing Dermatologists in California, Skin Resource.MD is a line of high quality skin care products, that are not only affordable, but effective! I was sent a box full of products from their anti-aging line and in a nutshell, I’m obsessed. I’ve only been using the products for about a week now, but my skin is already brighter, softer and my skin tone is more even.
I’m going to link to everything I’ve been using, but the star of this post is the Solar Defender SPF 30 Sunscreen and the Hyaluronic Moisture Boost Serum. I’ve mentioned in previous posts that I like to wear sunscreen daily, especially in the summer sun. I’ve been taking the Solar Defender SPF 30 Sunscreen with me everywhere! I apply it every morning, but also keep it in my bag for those times I may need to reapply.
The Hylauronic Moisture Boost serum is the perfect compliment the sunscreen. The serum locks in moisture and creates a protective barrier on your skin. I remember when I was 25, I started to notice that my eyelids were starting to wrinkle. At the time I was really into my skin and was going for facials every so often. (I totally go through phases with my skincare). I had a mild panic attack and called my esthetician for advice. She recommended I start using a product with hylauronic acid to improve my skin’s elasticity. I did for a short time and I also stopped pulling my eyelids when I put on makeup. I have no idea if that even makes a difference, but I figured, I could use all of the help I could get. I definitely noticed a difference when I started using hylauronic acid products, but then as life goes, I started to slack off. When I received my Skin Resource.MD Hylauronic Moisture Boost serum in the mail, my love was renewed! I have to remember this if I ever want to start slacking on my skincare again!
Now, as promised, I wanted to share the other products I’ve been using because I love them and highly recommend them!
Prescribe It For Yourself Kit – 5 Essential Products – This little kit included the Total Facial Cleansing Gel, Total Antioxidant Facial Serum, Eye Perfection Therapy, Oil-Free Antioxidant Facial Moisturizer and the Total Skin Moisturizer. The entire kit is only $59, which is a great deal if you ask me. The Total Facial Cleaning Gel is really gentle and can be used around your eyes. It completely cleans makeup, without any additional steps, that was my favorite part!
I’ve been blending the two kits together – using the Microdermabrasion Creme once a week. I’ve washed my face daily with the Total Facial Cleansing Gel, then applied all of the serums and finished up with the Baobab Skin Correction Facial Cream and the Oil-Free Antioxidant Facial Moisturizer. I’ve been using the Total Skin Moisturizer on my body. I will admit, I have never in my life put so many products on my face, but I can’t tell you how good my skin feels. I’m not the type of person to go out makeup free, but my skin feels so beautiful, I haven’t felt the need to wear makeup as much.
If I haven’t raved enough, I highly recommend giving Skin Resource.MD. a try, and adding their Solar Defender Sunscreen and Hylauronic Moisture Boost Serum to your routine to protect your skin this summer! I felt confident trying their products, knowing they were developed by Dermatologists and were prescribed to patients in their practice.
