The best wardrobe pieces are the ones you can wear over and over again in many different ways. Today I’m taking a light sweater in a neutral print, that can be worn on a late summer day and into the fall, and styling it six different ways.

My Sizing: I’m 4’10” and around 105 lbs. My typical size is petite XXS/XS and 24/00 in pants, but I’ll share my sizing for each item below to help you choose the best size for you.
With Denim Shorts
I’ll start with an outfit you can wear now on a cooler summer evening. It also makes for a great transitional outfit for fall. This top is a very lightweight sweater, so it’s a little bit thicker than a long sleeve t-shirt.

With White Shorts

With White Jeans
I would wear this one to work! I’m still a big fan of my white skinny jeans and will wear them even after Labor Day. My exact pair has sold out in petite, but I’ll also link another great (and more affordable) option.

Wear it to Work
Speaking of a wear-to-work outfit, this top also goes great with a pair of black pants. You can wear it on its own or with a sweater blazer on top. I love this pair of black pants from J.Crew, but there are a few options for work in this post.

With Cropped Flare Jeans
I really love cropped flare jeans. This pair from J.Crew has a comfortable mid-rise and a deep clean wash. The bottom has a frayed hem, but it’s sewn, so it won’t continue to unravel and look messy with wear. When it comes to wearing this style of jeans into the fall, I prefer to wear them with shoes that show a little ankle. If you can find a pair of booties that don’t come up too high on the ankle that should work, I prefer pointed-toe flats. This pair of Rothy’s is comfortable and stretchy, they’re sustainably made, and washable!

With a Skirt
I also love this top with this cute paper bag skirt from J.Crew Factory. It looks great with flats for work, but would also look great worn casually with sandals.
