My 16 piece winter workwear capsule wardrobe is made up of warm layers in neutral tones that mix and match. For this capsule my focus was warmth. I wanted to create realistic outfits that would you keep you warm and comfortable in cold winter weather so I styled all 30 outfits with boots (with the exception of one that I went with sneakers), and full-length pants. These outfits are overall business casual, but all of them can be styled with dark wash jeans instead if your office dress code is casual.
To make it easy to view all of the outfits in this capsule, in addition to this post with all the capsule outfits in one place I will be breaking the outfits up into a series of posts.

2025 Winter Workwear Capsule Wardrobe
My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.
I built this capsule wardrobe off of my popular fall capsule wardrobe with the hopes that if you shopped that capsule you could use some of those pieces in these winter outfits as well. It has the same camel, olive, and cream color palette, but I also added navy for a fresh update. To make the outfits appropriate for winter I chose all full-length pants and went for thick turtlenecks as my layering foundations instead of the crewneck sweaters. You can easily swap in a crewneck sweater if turtlenecks aren’t your style or if it’s what you have on hand.
To note, this is the end of the winter season for retail so it can be hard to find in-stock options for winter. I tried my best to build the capsule off of in-stock items, but some of them may sell out quickly.

16 Capsule Pieces
Item count does not include shoes and accessories.
Turtleneck Top (in black, olive, and birch): XS
The Compel Turtleneck from Aritzia is thick, and warm. You can find a basic turtleneck top anywhere but I chose this one in three different colors because I love the weight and ribbed texture. It makes a great layering piece but also looks beautiful on its own. This top starts at XXS, but I went with XS. For less expensive options check out this organic cotton turtleneck from Quince or this basic turtleneck from Gap.
Long Cardigan: XS
In the fall capsule wardrobe I used the Juliette Cardigan from J.Crew in Heather Birch. It quickly sold out so I wanted to find an alternate option for this capsule. I found one on Amazon, much to my surprise, that has a very similar fit and color. In XS it’s a little bit oversized on me, but not much more than my J.Crew sweater. The fabric has a little bit of stretch to it as well.
Helena Blazer: Petite 00 (in black and camel)
The Helena Blazer from J.Crew has a true-to-size fit. It is high-quality and long-lasting, and you can’t beat the petite-friendly fit of a J.Crew blazer. I have J.Crew blazers in my closet from ten years ago, and they’re still beautiful. So, while they’re pricey, it’s a worthy investment if you’ll wear a blazer. The Helena Blazer has a modern, slightly boxy fit, but I think it’s not overly trendy and will be a classic style you can wear for years to come. For less expensive options, check out this blazer from J.Crew Factory, and Banana Republic Factory. If you want the Schoolboy Blazer to fit more like the Helena blazer, try it in regular sizing rather than petite.
Herringbone Blazer: Petite XXS
I chose another printed blazer from Banana Republic Factory for this capsule. The fall capsule had a plaid blazer and this herringbone option is very similar. It’s olive and white, thick and warm. I find the blazers at Banana Republic Factory to fit true to size and have great sleeve length for petites.
Cropped Jacket: Petite XXS
I found this cropped jacket at Banana Republic Factory as well and love the fit! It’s perfectly cropped, well proportioned and the sleeves are a perfect length. It’s thick and well-lined so it will keep you warm.
Cashmere Sweater: XS
I chose the $50 Cashmere Sweater from Quince in camel (teak) for the capsule. A crewneck sweater is an easy way to elevate any outfit and gives it a professional edge. If you’ve tried Quince’s cashmere sweater in past seasons, give it another try; they redesigned it this year, and it’s thicker. I’m wearing the sweater in XS and it fits true to size. This sweater from Banana Republic Factory is a less expensive option.
Navy Sweater: XS
The navy sweater I chose is from Aritiza. The fabric is ribbed and slightly compressive. I love the slash neck and slim fit. I went with XS, but this top starts at XXS. This sweater from Banana Republic Factory is a less expensive option.
Pleated Skirt in Olive and Black: XS
I had some feedback from my fall capsule that some of you missed having a skirt or dress option so I wanted to be sure to include one in this capsule. I chose a pleated a skirt in both olive and black. The skirt is easy to add warm tights and knee-high boots under. On an aside I only have a pair of black knee-high boots that fit my legs slim enough to wear with a skirt so that’s all I could pull off with these outfits. If I had the option of a different pair of boots in a taupe or tan I would have done a little more with the colors. This pleated skirt from Amazon is a less expensive option, I wear it in a size small.
Wide-Leg Pants in Black and Navy: Petite 00
I did a lot of copy and paste with the items in this capsule. Going for the same item in different colors makes it easy to shop but it was also about finding options that were in-stock. I kept running into stock issues with other options so I just went with what I could make work. The Perfect Wide-Leg Pants from Ann Taylor have a true to size fit and I love that they have a clean flat front. They pair beautifully with boots. These trousers from Gap are a less expensive option (when they go on sale, which they frequently do). I wear the Gap trousers in Petite 00, here is a post with those pants.
Winter White Pants: Petite 00
The white pants I chose for the capsule are a warm tone made with soft, thick fabric – a winter weight. I know that not everyone will love the option of white for winter, but many will. Plus, I feel like it’s a good item to have for transitioning these outfits into early spring. The pants are true to size.
Dark Wash Jeans: 24 X 26″
I went with a pair of dark wash straight jeans from Quince. Of all of the jeans I’ve reviewed I have received the most follow-up messages from people who purchased and loved them! I chose them for the capsule because they’re stretchy and comfortable and the leg width pairs perfectly with boots. The full review of these jeans can be found in this post.
