Casual can mean something different to everyone. To me, casual is comfortable and most importantly, comfortable shoes, but sometimes a little elevated! I love a mix of athletic bottoms, like joggers and leggings, and jeans. Here are seven casual outfit combinations I wear often.

7 Casual Outfit Ideas for Spring
My Sizing: I’m 4’10” and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″ and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement of the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online.
Joggers
Athleta’s Venice Mid Rise Joggers are a perfect high rise on me. I love the soft stretchy waistband, similar to a pair of leggings. The fabric is lightweight and breathable so these joggers will also be great into the spring and early summer. I find them to be true to size and wear them in Petite XXS. While Athleta’s pieces are pricey, I always appreciate the little design details and functionality of each one. The sweatshirt is also from Athleta and is a great fit in XXS on me (so maybe size down for a close fit). It’s soft inside and out and has a unique high-low hem.

I also love the Rainier Joggers from Athleta. They have a great petite fit, but are made from different fabrics. The Rainier Joggers are stretchy and thick (a little on the warm side). I paired them with a sweatshirt I picked up at Walmart that reminds me of the Spanx AirEssentials fabric

Leggings
I wear leggings often! I love Aerie’s Real Me Leggings. They’re a perfect weight, and not super compressive and tight. I wear them in XS short and love the fit. I paired them with a sweatshirt from Athleta that has a drawstring waist. I love the longer length, paired with a little waist cinching so you’re not just lost in a big sweatshirt (even though I love that look too).

Mid-Rise Jeans
For my mid-rise denim fans, you’ll love these comfortable (stretchy) mid-rise jeans from J.Crew. There are several wash options and they have a slim straight leg. These jeans are a little too slim at the ankle for perfect boots pairing, but I love them with all other shoes. I styled them two ways in the post. Since they’re lower in rise, you’re going to want to wear them with an untucked top.

Full-Length Straight Jeans
There are so many options when it comes to jeans at the moment, so I wanted to include an outfit idea with each style. If you’re still into high-rise, full-length styles, you might like this pair from Abercrombie. I’m wearing them in short here and they have a 29″ inseam that bunches at my ankle. They also come in Extra Short, which has a 27″ inseam.

Ankle Straight
These jeans have a high-rise and in a size up, I find them to be comfortable to wear all day. They do stretch some with wear but are pretty snug through the waist on me, so I find the size up gives me enough room without too much bagging out. I’m wearing them in short here and they have a 25″ inseam. They also come in extra short and have a 23″ inseam in that length.
