9 Items 15 Outfits - Navy + Neutrals

I typically only put together two “10 items 20 Outfits” type posts a season. One casual and one for work. This season I went ahead and did one bonus post using navy and neutrals. This one will work best in areas with mild weather and will carry into the spring. I also mixed this one with some outfits for work and some that are more casual. It would also work well for someone who works at home or can wear jeans to work.

My Sizing: I’m 4’10” and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″ and 36″. My typical inseam is 24-25″. The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online.

Tops

Navy Crewneck Sweater and Camel Sweater – I chose one of my favorite layering sweaters for two of the sweaters in this post – the Teddi sweater from J.Crew Factory. This sweater has a slim fit so I go up one size in it for a more comfortable fit. FYI – It doesn’t wash well in the washing machine so I use Dryel to clean mine to keep it from shrinking and piling. The camel Teddi sweater isn’t currently available so I’m including a ruffled collar option in the same color, it has a same fit and I recommend XS in it. Wearing in XS

Navy Floral Top – This navy floral top, also from J.Crew Factory pairs well with a lot of different colors. It is slightly oversized on me in XXS, so if you’re able to I would size down one in this top. Wearing in XXS.

Striped Button-Down – A striped button-down is just as classic as a white button-down. It’s easy to layer with, either on top or underneath and wears well on its own. My exact top is from Ann Taylor and I’m wearing it in Petite XXS. Here is a similar option from J.Crew Factory that is less expensive.

Cardigan + Blazer

Juliette Sweater – You can use a long gray cardigan in place of this sweater blazer from J. Crew for a similar look. I like the weight and overall fit of this sweater as it resembles a light jacket rather than just a sweater. It doesn’t come in petite, so I have to cuff the sleeves. It is also slightly oversized on me in XXS. You may want to size down if it’s an option for you.

Tan Blazer – Any camel or tan blazer will do for this layer. I chose the Willa Blazer for J.Crew. It’s lightweight and has a modern fit, I wear it in Petite 00. This blazer from Abercrombie is a less expensive option.

Pants + Jeans

Straight Jeans – The dark wash jeans are a straight option from J.Crew Factory. They’re a great blend of quality and price. The denim is rigid without being uncomfortable. They are true to size and fit me well in Petite 24/00.

White Jeans – I bought these jeans last spring from Madewell and was happy to see they were restocked. They’re not see-through and don’t show every little lump and bump (like a lot of white jeans can do). They are also slightly off-white which compliments most skin tones. I wear them in Petite 24 and find them to be true to size.

Blue Slim Pants – My exact pants are the Cameron Crop from J.Crew but a less expensive and near identical option is the Ruby Crop from J. Crew Factory. I size up in both of them to Petite 0. I have a wide hip proportion to the rest of me and need the extra room there. My friends who like a low-mid rise bottom will like these pants.
