Saturday, hubby and I went out with some friends for an adult Halloween celebration. I chose to piece together my outfit with wear again items, throw on a red tail and ears and go as a fox. After seeing this video and then reciting “ring ding ding ding” in my head for weeks after, I felt it was a very fitting costume. Most of the night I answered to “what does the fox say?” and almosssst won the costume contest.
More fun than dressing up like a fox, baby man and I had fun decorating cookies today!
I am all about healthy eating, but I am also about fun. You won’t catch me handing out apples on Halloween. Holidays are fun and I want to pass on fun to my babies, so candy and cookies on a special occasion are more than ok to me. Although he spent most of the time sneaking candy corns and licking his fingers, cookie decorating was a success. I even did it the lazy way and grabbed Oreos instead of baking my own.
…and then he licked them all like a dog. Funny how he picked up this characteristic in our house full of dogs (we have three). He also barks at doorbells and strangers.
Finally, on to the costume and trick or treating. The classic fun of Halloween. We didn’t go trick or treating last year because he was still too little to understand. So this year was my first year trick or treating in, well, obviously forever! We went with his cousins and had so much fun! He was a conductor, fitting his current love of choo choos.
Now on to the next holiday, Thanksgiving! Gosh I love this time of year. Happy Halloween everyone.
