Instagram is an interesting character. Some of us love it, some hate it, some shed tears over it and some could care less. If you’ve spent any amount of time, blogger or not, in making your feed cohesive and interesting, there’s a good chance you’ve tried to set a theme for your Instagram feed. Whether it’s a certain color, certain mood, certain magic; some of us are straight professional at it, and some of us fall short. Hand raised high, y’all, I fall short. I lack Instagram skills, that’s a fact. My feed isn’t cohesive, and I just can’t bring myself to talk to my phone for an Instagram story, especially in public. Nope. Let me clarify, not because I think it’s silly or anything like that, I just literally can’t think of anything to say. I’m relatively shy in person, what can I say? I’ll stick to writing where I can pre think about what I want to say. I also lack all the necessary skills to do anything other than stand and smile in front of the camera. Let’s be real, Steven laughs at me every time I try to make a more animated face, soooooo, smile and pose, that’s all ya’ gonna get.

I remember one time thinking, I’m going to make my feed full of pink, it’s my favorite after all. I like pink, it’s light, bright and fun, I’m light, bright and fun, right?! Here’s what happened – I wore blue, over and over again, without even noticing and my feed turned blue instead of pink. I previously thought my favorite color was pink, but Instagram told me otherwise. My house is predominately blue, even on the outside, and my closet is blue, blue, blue. Seriously, how is it that I didn’t realize my favorite color is not pink at all, but blue.

I don’t discriminate when it comes to blue, but navy seems to dominate my closet. I don’t own a lot of black, which may be because I’m not all that chic or maybe it’s because I look a little ill when I wear black, but it’s not a color I reach for often. So, I use my navy things to pair with anything and everything. My favorite thing to wear to work is a navy pair of pants.
