Y’all know I’m not a trendy girl, but when one of my favorites just so happens to be the trend of the season, you can call me trendy. You can also call my current shopping habits, “a struggle to not buy all the gingham.”
Coral Gingham Top
I’ve practiced restraint for the most part. I already have quite a bit of gingham in my closet. You may recall some of my favorites here, here and here. But when I saw this gingham top, that is not only a cheaper version of one of my most worn things, but is also the color of the season; I snatched it right up. No regrets.
J.Crew Factory vs. J.Crew Gingham Top
Since I already own the identical twin to this top from J.Crew, I thought I would compare the two. Overall, they’re basically the same. The fabric is slightly heavier than the J.Crew version, which means the sleeves wrinkle less (win)! The factory version is a little bit cheaper, and doesn’t come in petite. For me, that means the fit is a bit oversized. I personally think the oversized fit will look cute and relaxed with a pair of shorts this summer, and you can easily tuck it in, and roll the sleeves like I did here. For size reference I’m wearing the xs, but it also comes in xxs.

It’s all I’ve posted about lately, but life isn’t all about shopping currently. Our oldest opted for soccer this season, instead of baseball, and so far he’s convinced he’s a soccer star. We just may have found his sport! My youngest is thriving in his first year of preschool and coming into his four-year-old self. I’m still spending most of my time driving up and down the road picking up the boys here and there , and juggling work, home, and this blog in between. Which means I’m still struggling to find the time to respond to your sweet comments, and I’m so sorry about that! I do truly value each and every one of them, and I haven’t forgotten about you.
