Stain Showdown With Biz Stain and Odor Eliminator

This post is sponsored by Biz Stain Fighter, but all opinions are my own.

I thought my laundry game was strong, until I was introduced to Biz Stain Fighter. The introduction came by way of an offer from the brand to write about their product. Prior to that e-mail I had never heard of Biz Stain Fighter. So I knew I needed to do a little research before committing to writing about it on the blog. I read reviews online (many rave reviews) then did a few experiments of my own at home. The verdict – Biz Stain Fighter is legit, and I’m a forever customer after what I’ve seen it do. But I’ll rewind, what exactly have I seen it do, and why is it so awesome?

The makeup stained peplum top.

First, I tested it on a pretty little peplum top of mine that had a makeup stain I couldn’t seem to touch. I’ve bleached it, hit it with baking soda and the stain wasn’t budging. I soaked it in warm water and Biz for a couple of hours and the makeup was gone! Needless to say I was excited.

The white camisoles.

Next, I decided to soak a few white camisoles and bras that had gone a little dingy. I’m ashamed to say in the past, when undergarments turned for the worse I just replaced them. However, after a couple hours soak in Biz, they were nearly like new. Not completely bright brand new white, but pretty darn close.

My regular laundry.

So, I started adding it my laundry loads and all clothes – colors, whites, darks started coming out just a little brighter and cleaner.

Biz passed all my tests and I felt good about showing just what it can do on this blog of mine. So I set up a little experiment in my kitchen, took my most common hard to remove stains and smeared three perfectly good white tees with them.

The Stain Showdown – How Biz Stain Fighter Removed My Top Three Stains

For the test, I rubbed a different stain on three different shirts. Then, I added 1/2 cup of Biz to about two gallons or so of warm water. Then I soaked each one, and laundered with more Biz and my laundry soap.

Avocado

I can’t tell you how many of my boy’s shirts have been ruined by avocado. We love it, guac runs deep in our veins – and messy eaters means the guac almost always ends up on their clothes.

Probably because of it’s fatty nature, avocado is not easy to remove. Biz said, “no big deal – I got this.”

It took about 20 minutes of soaking and I could easily scrub the avocado up.

Chocolate

I know y’all can picture me eating a piece of chocolate like the Cookie Monster dropping it all over the place, but it’s really my boys that have issues with chocolate. Give a kid a chocolate bar and it’s going to end of on their face, hands, hair, the wall, maybe the couch – everywhere.

Chocolate is another one that I’ve felt ruined a shirt or two so I was curious how Biz would work. Chocolate dissolved the fastest in the Biz and water combination!

However, I will say, it wasn’t laid on very thick, and wasn’t all melty and messy like a typical chocolate stain. However, I’m confident Biz could handle one of those messes.

Makeup

The peplum top with a the makeup stain made me think of showing just what Biz can do to a makeup stain. Girlfriends, I know you have the collars that are stained with foundation, and like me, I’m sure you’ve dropped a little on your shirt before. Makeup has staying power so it stays on your face, but that’s not a good thing for your clothes. So frustrating! However, Biz works on makeup stains too.

The stain I created for this test was pretty deep, I used quite a bit of foundation, so much so that it soaked through to both sides. Not what you would think when you’re thinking a typical makeup stain. So, I did a pretreat paste on the makeup, and soaked it longer than the other stains.

This stain took more work than the others, lots of soaking (4+ hours) and scrubbing. However, when I used Biz to take off my own makeup stains from my peplum it was a much easier and faster process. I should be a better scientist.

I’m going to admit, each shirt came out clean, so can I really be sure each shirt I pictured was the one I smeared with said stain? No, but they’re all clean and white and you can’t tell a difference! So, you’ve seen what it can do, but I’ll share just a few other things I like about Biz. First, it doesn’t have a strong smell, it’s light and fresh. So far, I haven’t seen a stain or dingy shirt it couldn’t tackle. I also found it cool to see how dirty the water was after soaking things in it – I gathered it works by lifting the stain away from the fabric. My only complaint about the product is the lack of a scoop in the box, I found that awkward, but easy to overlook. I personally can’t wait to give it a go with my couch covers and see how it compares to my current cleaning method. (Always talking about my couches I know.)

Have you tried Biz Stain Fighter? If you haven’t I recommend you do!
