My Stitch Fix subscription is getting more and more fun. My stylist(s) are learning my style more, and sending me things from brands I didn’t even know they worked with. This past month, that brand I was surprised by, was Lilly Pulitzer.

Lilly Pulitzer Shift Dress
I don’t have a huge collection of Lilly, but I do have an appreciation of the beautiful colors, performance fabrics and attention to little details. When I pulled this dress from my fix, it not only surprised me to see Lilly Pulitzer in my fix, it stole the show. The colors are beautiful, the fabric is light and flattering, and it has pockets that don’t add weight. The fit is spot on.

I personally find this dress incredibly comfortable. I appreciate that Lilly makes shift dresses that aren’t terribly tight in the hips (a common fit issue for me). The length is generous, which would accommodate taller/average height ladies, there is even three inches of extra fabric sewn into the hem if you want to let it down even further. (those little details)
I don’t mind the length as is, and I like that I can easily wear it to work this way. However, I think it would flatter me a tad more with an inch or two off the bottom. Up top, the arm holes hit perfectly, they aren’t overly draping or revealing, and the hook closures at the bust keep the cut just right in the front. Plus, how cute is the zipper in the back!
