7 Days of Summer Outfits

I talk about the requests I get from all of you a lot, and that’s really because that has been my whole focus this year. You tell me what you want to see, and I’ll do my best to make it happen. After nearly eight years of blogging, this has been my best year yet – so keep that feedback coming my way!

My most recent prompt on Instagram for style sessions brought in a lot of requests for summer outfits in general. Mixed in there, you girls wanted to see printed shorts, kimonos, dresses and work outfits too. This style session hits on a lot of those and represents my typical weekly style. I work part-time in the office so some of my outfits are office friendly, and some are more casual for my off days.

Printed Shorts

I would file this under a casual outfit that could be really cute for date night! Swap out the heels and add sandals for an easy to wear everyday outfit. I’m planning to style these shorts multiple ways in a future post. I’m wearing them in XS and love them!

Breezy Dress

When it comes to what I’ve been wearing to work lately, dresses have been high on my list! You can’t beat how easy they are to put on, and how comfortable they are in the summer heat. If I want to dress them up a bit more, I’ll add a blazer – but my office is on the casual side. I’m an administrator in a small medical office, so everyone aside from me and the physicians wear scrubs!

I’m wearing a small in this dress and it is slightly oversized. I find the fit to be really comfortable.

White Denim Shorts

I’ve been wearing these white denim shorts at least once a week lately. I keep watching for a restock in the smaller sizes because I know you girls will love them too! This particular pair isn’t one bit see through and I really love the length, but I’m linking some similar options for you to get the same look.

I wear a regular bra with this top, I just use the j-hook on the bra to get a racer back fit so the straps don’t show. If you don’t have a bra with j-hooks yet, I highly recommend one. This is one of my favorites for petite ladies.

Casual Summer Dress

This week I’ll be doing a collaborative Amazon giveaway and try-on with a few other bloggers on IG stories, which prompted to me to do a little shopping on Amazon for fun petite finds. There were quite a few misses, but this dress was a win for me! The adjustable straps make it petite friendly and the length is just right. The middle drawstring isn’t actually functional but the tie is cute. I’m wearing a small, and it comes in other cute prints.

Denim Shorts

I would swap out the wedges for sandals to make this outfit even more comfortable, but I like the height the wedges give. Anything to make short legs look longer right! This top was part of my recent LOFT try-on. It’s selling out, but LOFT makes this style of top in several prints and colors year round, it is typically called a ruffle shell on their site.

Kimono

I found this kimono in my Amazon hunt and appreciate that it’s not crazy overwhelming. The little tassels are fun too. I plan to use it in a future post with multiple ways to wear a kimono!

Skirt Summer Outfit

I wore this exact outfit to work last week, but I also wear it casually with sandals. The skirt is another Amazon find and would make a cute red, white and blue outfit for the 4th! You can see it worn with a denim jacket here.
