A sweet reader of mine sent me a message asking me to style an olive jacket she just bought. It just so happened I was looking for an olive jacket that fits me better than the one I have. While I have another one stuck in the mail somewhere (anyone else having major mail issues?) this one is a little different than the traditional utility style jacket I had ordered. This one has a more tailored fit and a belt that you can tie in the front for a polished look. So, I went ahead and ordered the same one for myself.
4 Ways to Wear an Olive Jacket
While I do love the belt on this jacket, tying it every single time doesn’t make for many versatile outfits, so I tied it in the back to bring some versatility to the outfit. A traditional utility jacket works just as well for these outfits.
To Work
Because of the belt on this jacket, I think it makes for a great wear to work outfit. I added a classic white button up top, tucked into my high rise pants that I wore in this post.

With a Graphic Tee
I love the graphic tee trend, but I’m not big into the band tees, so this one is a happy medium for me. This exact top is long, long enough you could wear it with leggings if you wanted to.

With a Skirt
After numerous requests to start seeing warm weather outfits I put up a poll on Instagram to see what everyone thought – ready for warm weather outfits or nah. To me, it’s still really cold and I’m not ready to transition over, but I am totally in that spring state of mind – I love buying spring clothes! 4,000 of you weighed in and it was a near 50/50 split! So, I decided a happy medium was in order. Many of you are starting to fill your closets for spring, whether it’s time to wear it or not. So – I’m going to try my best to include a mix of outfits and layers to be worn now and later over the next month or so. This is the skirt I wore in the Valentine’s post, in a different print!
