To stay on theme this post should have been “10 Items 20 Outfits” but I just couldn’t decide what to cut from the 11 items I chose – so 11 it is! For this mix and match style session, I wanted to share mostly casual outfits, some to be worn now and some when it’s a little warmer.
11 Items 20 Spring Outfits
I chose four different jackets. If there is something you can add to your wardrobe and be sure to get a lot of wear out of, it’s a neutral jacket. Plus, jackets always help mix things up and make more outfits. Of course, as it gets warmer I’ll be ditching the jackets.
I mixed in three different tops: a gingham button-down, gingham flutter sleeve top, and an eyelet short sleeve top. All three aren’t your typical basic t-shirt, but they’re all neutral on their own. I did that on purpose to show that even prints and different textures can be versatile.
Finally, I chose four different bottoms, two pairs of shorts and two pairs of jeans – the very basic foundation of my spring wardrobe.
11 Items
Olive Jacket
I included the olive jacket in this 20 outfits post and a previous one. I went back and forth on the items being the same but then decided it just shows the versatility of the item and helps you get more ideas if you purchased them after a previous post. So, I went ahead and included three jackets total that have also been in other 20 outfits post. If this is your first time seeing the olive utility jacket, I’ll share a few fit points on it. First, the jacket fits beautifully! I have it in Petite XXS and it’s the best fitting utility jacket I’ve ever found. It is a little more expensive than some of the others out there, but the fit can’t be beat for Petites.
Cream Anorak Jacket
An anorak jacket is always a great thing to have for spring. It not only serves as a nice casual light layer for that in-between weather, but this one has a hood and is great for a rainy spring day. The fit is a little bit oversized, but I like it! There is a drawstring at the bottom that brings it in a bit, and it also has buttons on the sleeve to adjust the arm opening. I’m wearing it in Petite XS.
White Blazer
If you like to dress up your outfits (or have the occasions for it) you’ll get a ton of wear out of a white blazer this spring. I understand that not everyone’s lifestyle calls for a blazer, but it’s something I’ve always had in my wardrobe. Mine is from J.Crew and I wear it in Petite 00. I love the fit and the quality is spot on. With the season I’ve been finding more and more white blazers in petite so I’ll be sure to link those to provide more price points.
Denim Jacket
A denim jacket is something I think everyone can get a lot of wear out of. I think by far a denim jacket is my favorite layer and this one is inexpensive, but still great quality. Old Navy doesn’t always have the best quality, but when it comes to anything denim there, it should last you through several seasons. I’m wearing it in Petite XS.
Jeans
The pair of jeans I included in this post are from Madewell. I first featured them in my post about petite denim. They are a higher price point but they have become my favorite pair of jeans in the last couple of months, I wear them more than any other pair. The wash is light for warmer weather and they fit like a glove. Plus, they get better and more comfortable with every wear. These jeans are true to size and I wear them in Petite 24. I’ll also share another great jeans option from AE that is also a great petite fit and a lower price point.
Black Jeans
I actually used two different pairs of black jeans in this post, one with knee rips and one without. That technically makes my item count higher, but I just wanted to show a little variety. They are both the same jean from AE. I sized up one size and wear them in 25 X-Short.
Denim Shorts
I included the denim shorts that I recently shared in my Old Navy Spring Finds Post. I haven’t worn these out yet considering it’s still cold, but I can’t wait for the warm weather! I love the fit of these, they have a longer inseam without being too tight in the thighs. They’re also a comfortable rise and don’t have any ride-up in the back. I’m wearing them in 0 and would consider them true to size for Old Navy.
White Denim Shorts
I also included a pair of white denim shorts. In my summer wardrobe I typically have a pair of denim shorts, white shorts, and this year I bought black shorts (more on those later). For me, that’s all I need for some versatility! The pair I’m wearing is from Old Navy from last year. This exact style isn’t available anymore but there is a similar pair I’ll link. I did try the linked pair on and they run a little big, too big for me, so I returned them, but they could be great if you have the ability to size down. I’m hunting for a current white pair to share with y’all! I’ll let you know what I find.
Tan Gingham Top
The top I wore the most in this style session is a ruffle gingham top from Target. I’m not usually big into ruffles and puff sleeves because they’re often too big for me, but the ruffles on this top are well balanced. The ruffles are also soft and layer well under jackets. The top fits well and I wear it in XS. The only thing to note about this top is it has bigger arms holes that will show your bra underneath. I wore a cami under mine to fix that issue, but I wanted to share in case that’s something you find uncomfortable.
Navy Gingham Top
I’ve written about a navy gingham button-down shirt on my blog many times. I’ve loved this classic style for spring for many years. I have one that is a looser more casual fit, but this year I bought this one that has a more tailored fit so I could dress it up easier, but it’s still relaxed enough to dress down. I appreciate that the collar is a little more structured and holds its shape, vs the other one that I have that is relaxed and casual (still love that one)! I’m wearing it in Petite 00 and the fit is perfect.
Pink Eyelet Top
Last, the pink eyelet top. I don’t shop at Gap much, but I was looking for a few things for my boys when I stumbled upon the anorak jacket I linked above. I didn’t realize Gap had Petites, so I started to browse. I’m always a sucker for eyelet and I like that this top has a scalloped hem which can look really cute untucked (or tucked). It is unlined and you will need to wear a cami under it. I like the relaxed fit but if you have the ability to size down, I would recommend that. I’m wearing it in Petite XS.

I took some feedback from you girls over on Instagram regarding what you like and don’t like when it comes to style session videos and the feedback was so great! While there were a few that liked the faster style of videos and the fun transitions that come with Reels, the large majority of you said you wanted the videos done slower and found the transitions to be distracting. Many of you said you didn’t like that can’t pause Reels, but you can pause videos on IGtv. So, I moved this one over to IGtv and slowed it down! I hope that helps, and of course, I’m always sharing more details and photos here on the blog if you prefer to see style sessions that way!
