One of the most requested topics is always workwear. This month in particular I’ve had many requests to see outfits for a more casual work environment, including teacher outfits! So, a lot of my recent content has been focused on that, but don’t worry, for those of you with a dressier work environment, I have some content coming for you too.
5 Pairs of Pants for a Casual Workplace
LOFT Cropped Flare Jeans
If you couldn’t tell already, I’ve really been loving cropped flare jeans. I have proportionately wide hips and this particular cut of denim helps balance them out. This pair has a high-rise that hits my belly button and they fit me in my true size. They’re a little longer than my other pairs of cropped flare jeans, but I think they still look great! Personally, I love these with a pair of neutral nude shoes that elongate my legs. You can wear them with flats, booties, and heeled mules like I have on here.

Old Navy Utility Chino Pants
I’ll start by saying I wish this pair of pants was just one inch shorter on me. However, I think overall they are still a great option for wearing to work and would definitely look great if you’re a little bit taller than me (I’m 4’10”). I appreciate that they have pockets on the back, which I think is more flattering than the pocketless back you see on most chino pants.

LOFT Skinny Jeans
Non-distressed jeans!! Every single time I ask you what you want to see on Instagram, several of you always say, “non-distressed jeans”. I’m with you there. Classic dark wash denim without distressing is easy to wear casually, but also dressed up, and to work. This pair from LOFT is an ultra high-rise, higher than my Madewell jeans, and hits me a tiny bit above my belly button. They have a true full-length inseam that works well with flat shoes but doesn’t work as well on me with booties. I’m wearing them in petite 24, in the regular fit, but I think I would be more comfortable in the curvy fit or with a size up (they’re snug in my waist).
Mid-Rise Skinny Jean Options

LOFT Straight Pants
LOFT’s straight pants are similar in style to the Old Navy Utility Chinos above. I would recommend sizing down in them if you have the option. I’m wearing the smallest size they come in, and they’re a little oversized on me. They also stretch out with wear. There are other colors available, but this tan color is my favorite! I also wore them in my Teacher Outfits post. I like them with these sandals if you’re able to wear those with your dress code, but they also look great with this pair of leopard flats.

AE Black Jeggings
Now for my personal most worn pair of pants to work – the AE black jeggings! They come in different rises and I prefer the classic jegging which is a mid-low rise. They’re stretchy and easy to move around in, and affordable! They will fade in the wash, so sometimes I skip the wash and clean them with Dryel to give them a longer life.
