Flare jeans take me back to high school and my early 20’s. I remember when I had to let go of them and switch over to skinny jeans it was a hard transition. They were what I was used to and what I wore the most often. Now, ditching my skinny jeans (sometimes) and putting these flare jeans back on feels familiar and new all at the same time.
5 Ways to Wear Flare Jeans
Like most styles of jeans, flare jeans look great with most tops, but I personally prefer them with heels over flats. Mainly because I’m short and wearing them with flat shoes looks heavy to me. The pair that fits me the best is the Artist Flare from AE which just so happens to be the same pair of jeans I preferred when I was younger – funny how things come back around. I’m wearing them in x-short, but the next time I order them I may order them in short for more length with my boots.
With a Puff Sleeve Top
Unlike my younger years, flare jeans have a higher rise now than the barely-there low-rise of my youth. The high-rise looks great with a tucked-in top, but you know what I say about tucking in your top, only go for it if it makes you feel your best, if not, leave the top untucked.

With Heels
Flare jeans are also really easy to dress up with heels, especially in a darker wash. My brain skipped out on adding a blazer with them when I put this post together, but in this post, I paired a white pair of flare jeans with a blazer and I love how polished it looks.
