Four Ways to Wear an Ivory Coat
The star of this post, the ivory coat, is a classic topcoat that elevates any outfit. It’s unlined and light, perfect for early fall. I’m wearing it in Petite XXS. I love this coat, but if you have the ability to size down, you may want to. I’m in the smallest size and it’s a little roomy on me.
With a Red Dress
I’ve said it before, but LOFT is one the best places to look for petite-friendly dresses. A shift-style dress is hard to wear when you’re petite. If the dress is even the slightest bit too long, it just looks frumpy. LOFT does it right, nailing the perfect petite length. This one, in particular, has cropped sleeves and an ottoman knit. It’s true to size and I wear it in Petite XXS. This dress would also make a beautiful option for fall family photos and can be worn with ankle boots, knee-high boots, and heels!

With Plum Pants
I love these pants! I have searched high and low for pants in this style and this is the very first pair I’ve found that fits me! They are a soft flannel material and they hug in all the right places. I find them to be true to size in Petite 00. The top is also true to size and I wear it in Petite XXS.

With a Plaid Skirt
This is another outfit that would be great for fall family photos! This skirt is comfortable and fully lined. You could dress it up for work, or dress it down! The print is classic and of course, it looks beautiful with the ivory coat. It’s true to size for me in Petite XXS. Another thing I really love is this basic long sleeve tee. I also have the black one and love the close fit that resembles a bodysuit, without all the extra of a bodysuit if you know what I mean. I’m wearing it in Petite XXS. It’s very stretchy and I would consider it to be true to size.

With Jeans
Last, the ivory coat looks just as beautiful dressed down with a pair of jeans. I paired it with one of my favorite styles from LOFT year after year, the poncho sweater. I buy one in different colors every season. They not only look great with this coat for purposes of the post, but it’s just an all-around comfortable and cute sweater! I’m wearing it in my true size Petite XXS. The jeans I’m wearing are mid-rise and are true to size for me in Petite 24.

Whether it’s ivory, camel, or the burgundy and olive that this coat comes in, I think a topcoat is a great classic piece to have in your wardrobe. It elevates just about any outfit.
