The “Shacket” or shirt jacket is essentially a heavier version of a button-down top. They’re often oversized which can make it a little harder to find a great petite fit, but I found a few I think you’ll love. My exact jacket sold out quickly, but I’ll be linking a couple of similar options at the bottom of this post that I’ve tried myself.
Ways to Wear a Shacket
With Leggings
Shackets are typically longer in length so they’re perfect for wearing with leggings. These leggings from AE are my all time favorite! I wear them in XS short and they’re a great length.

With Jeans
I’ve been in a very neutral phase lately and didn’t even realize it until taking a look at my Instagram feed and feeling like it was all tan and black. So, adding in a little pop of red felt good. I think I’m used to seeing shackets styled with neutrals but they look great with any complementary color and even look great with graphic t-shirts. For those of you who want to wear booties that you can wear with normal socks and not have your ankle showing – this is a great pair of boots for that. Especially paired with these jeans in particular.

With White
I brought out a little winter white for this one! The neutral colors in the this jacket instantly made me think of pairing it with cream.

With Black Jeans
Shackets instantly nod to the 90’s so they go perfectly with black jeans and a lug boot. You could also wear combat boots with this outfit.

With Gray Jeans
I love this pair of gray jeans. They’re dark enough to mix as well as a pair of black jeans, but they’re just as comfortable as blue jeans. If you know what I mean, black jeans often feel different. This pair in particular runs a little small, I would recommend sizing up.

Petite Shackets
My exact shacket is from Walmart and is soft on the inside and out. I’m wearing it in XS and it fits me well. I’m hopeful it will restock, but if it doesn’t I also found one at Abercrombie that looks similar and goes as small as XXS. I also have this shacket from Amazon that fits well!
