This is in no way shape or form…a healthy recipe. But, life is meant to be enjoyed and a treat is in order every now and then!
We had a snow day last week, so baby love and I took to the kitchen and whipped up a batch of classic chocolate chip cookies.
Everyone has their own preference when it comes to a classic chocolate chip cookie, some like them crunchy and crisp, others like them thick and gooey. I prefer the latter! If you love warm gooey cookies too, you will love this one!
What You’ll Need:
1 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 stick butter
1/2 cup brown sugar (of coconut sugar)
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
Start by preheating your oven to 350. If your butter is fresh out of the fridge, pop it in the microwave for 15-30 seconds to soften (do not melt).
Pour in the sugar and cream them together. You will want to blend for a while, make sure it is nice and creamy.
Add the egg and vanilla and blend again until creamy!
In a separate bowl, mix your dry ingredients. Add them slowly to the wet batter. Then, pour in the chocolate chip and stir.
Drop by the teaspoonful on your pan and bake for 10 minutes.
The key is to pull the cookies out just before they are done and let them finish cooking on the stove top as they cool. The cookies will be soft and gooey! Enjoy!
