When I think about Spring Break, I instantly start thinking about a beach vacation. Last year when I wrote up this post, it was all about just that – a trip to a sunny beach where your days would be spent mostly in a bathing suit. This year, my personal Spring Break plans are different (we’re heading to Disney) and I wanted to hear from you what your plans are. So, I put out a prompt on Instagram for you to share your Spring Break plans with me and there was such a wide variety of trips! While I would love to put together outfit ideas for every single one, there was such a large response I had to narrow things down by picking the top four and grouping a few together.
Spring Break Outfits by Destination
Disney
I’ll start with one of the most requested, which also happens to be how I’ll be spending my Spring Break – a trip to Disney/theme parks. We’ve taken our boys to Disney a few times now and the first time I went I’m embarrassed to admit I actually wore a pair of wedge heels – to a theme park. WHY?! I was absolutely miserable and could barely make it back to our hotel by the end of the day. After that first poor wardrobe choice I wisened up and realized when it comes to Disney or any big theme park, comfort is king. You want to be able to walk and stand for hours on end. You also want to be able to stay cool in the Florida heat and ready to dodge rainstorms. This time around I’m keeping it very simple with comfortable shorts, sneakers, and t-shirts. I bought a couple of Disney-themed t-shirts just to be fun, but really a basic tee is all you need. I’m planning to bring my backpack to carry a few extra things like disposable ponchos! I did day and night outfits for all of the destinations except Disney because for me the day just runs into the night there.

Vegas
I don’t know why it surprised me that so many of you are heading to Vegas, but it was a pleasant surprise because I love Vegas! My grandfather lives in Vegas, so when I was a kid I would go visit him there every summer. Vegas of course isn’t necessarily the most kid-friendly place in the world, but I remember always loving it, all of the lights and sounds! I celebrated my 21st birthday there as well as two bachelorette parties with friends/family. It’s typically pretty hot in Vegas, but it’s a dry heat, so a little more bearable in comparison to the humidity we have over here on the East Coast. For the daytime outfit, I went for a simple black tank top and shorts with comfortable sandals if you want to see the sights on the strip. There is a lot to do in Vegas, it’s not all club scene. There are amazing restaurants and shows, so your night outfit may be a little bit different than the one I’ve put together. I had the most requests for a “night out” so I dressed it up with a pink mini dress. I chose these heels in particular because they’re relatively comfortable for all of the walking a night in Vegas can entail.

Beach Vacation
Of course, there were many requests for beach vacation ideas, so I included two. A poolside or beach day outfit (swimsuit and coverup) and a breezy beach dress for the night. I also bring denim shorts and t-shirts on my beach trips. Another dress I just bought and love so much is this maxi dress from Abercrombie! It fits amazing (and is a perfect full-length on me in petite). If you would like to see more resort-style dresses, check out this post.

Big City/Sightseeing
Last, I had many requests for outfits for a big city trip (NYC/DC/Chicago, etc.). Since most of them were East Coast, I chose a comfortable outfit for daytime sightseeing with a light jacket for mild weather. If it happens to be warmer when you visit, you may prefer to swap the jeans for comfortable shorts instead. If you want to go out for a nice dinner in the evening, you might like a dress!
