Before I started leaning into more outfits for work, I just assumed the vast majority of people had a business casual dress code for work. While many do – and of course, you can’t forget business formal – from your feedback I’ve found a large proportion of people have a very casual work environment. There are also still a fair amount of people working from home! So, today’s post is for those who have a comfortable and casual work environment, whether that’s at home or at the office.

Casual Comfortable Outfits for Work
Sizing Reference: I’m 4’10” and around 105lbs. I share my sizing beside each link to help you compare.
Ponte Leggings
It’s almost the time of year when I start to pull out my ponte leggings. They’re thick and warm, so I wait for it to cool down a bit. I’ve had mine for a couple of years now and they’re my favorite work-appropriate pair of leggings. I wear them in Petite XXS and they fit me well overall, however, there is a minimal amount of bunching at my ankle. The sweater is soft and dreamy. The tunic length is great for leggings and I like the slits on the side to keep the sweater from looking too long and heavy. Paired with buttery loafers this outfit is so comfortable I would wear it around the house.

Oversized White Top
I’ve been trying to put together a capsule wardrobe for fall and one thing I’ve struggled with is the white top. A classic choice would be a slim-fitting top that layers and tucks well, but this oversized tunic length one is also great and serves a different purpose. Maybe I’ll include both and let you choose based on how you dress most often. I love that you can wear this with leggings and it still keeps the outfit polished and work-appropriate. My exact top sold out, unfortunately, but I’ll link a similar one for you.

Knit Blazer
A knit blazer is just as comfortable as a cardigan, but a little more polished. Bonus, knit blazers are often a lot more affordable than wool ones. I bought this one from Banana Republic Factory and it fits me well in Petite XXS.

Cardigan + Jeans
Long cardigans are a go-to for me when I want to be comfortable at work. Did you catch that both outfits with jeans have the same top base layer and jeans?
