Talking another fall trend today – tweed! I remember in my senior pictures circa 2005 I had on a pink tweed jacket, that tied to the front. I loved that jacket and those pictures, and honestly, I don’t know if I’ve worn tweed ever since. I mean maybe – but I’ve definitely been seeking it out this season and finding lots of cute options. Today I’m sharing three different petite-friendly tweed options.

Tweed Three Ways
Sizing Reference: I’m 4’10” and around 105lbs. I share my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online.
Tweed Pants
Starting with pair of tweed pants from Ann Taylor. Ann Taylor often makes pants in this easy ankle style in different colors and fabrics. It’s a comfortable style to wear with an elastic back. Because of the elastic at the back, I prefer to wear something on top of them when I wear them – like a jacket or cardigan. Another option is to leave your top untucked. They’re a little bit snug on me through the hips, but not enough to size up. I’m wearing them in Petite XXS.

Tweed Skirt
This tweed skirt is from LOFT and has a little bit of room on me at the waist – making it possible to tuck this sweater in with it. With that being said, let’s talk about tucking in a sweater. With a chunky sweater, I will try a few things to get it to work with a tuck (or just simply leave it untucked which works as well, even with a skirt). If the sweater is banded on the bottom I will just tuck the band in. The sweater I’m wearing with the skirt here has a band that I just tucked. Admittedly, I rushed a little with putting these two together and didn’t get the tuck quite right overall. Other things I’ll do is just tuck the front and roll the rest of the sweater under or tuck the front and back a little and tuck the sides under. It really just depends on the sweater and bottoms combination. There are also little hacks like tucking a sweater into your bra or tucking it into a belt and pulling it through. Personally, I don’t find the hacks to be all that comfortable to actually wear so I just try to make it work in the most simple way possible.

Tweed Jacket
I knew I wanted to add a tweed jacket to my wardrobe and very specifically I wanted a black and white one, with a cropped fit. Ann Taylor delivered with this one! I’m wearing it in Petite 00/XXS and the fit is spot on. I will also wear this one with jeans and dresses/skirts.
