Comfortable leggings may be my pick for a Thanksgiving outfit, but if you want to dress it up a bit I have a few dress ideas for you today. They’re all petite-friendly and can all be worn with boots if you need extra warmth.

Three Dress Outfits for Thanksgiving

Midi Dress
The first dress is a blue floral dress from Petal and Pup. It has a smocked top with sheer sleeves and a fully lined skirt. The dress fits me well in my true size, XS. Due to the length, I prefer this dress with heels, but it also works with a slim-fit knee-high boot in a light neutral color if the weather doesn’t allow for heels.

Sweater Dress
A sweater dress is a fall classic that can make a great outfit option for Thanksgiving. I found this dress on Amazon and personally love the fit. It’s not too tight and short like a lot of sweater dresses. It comes in several color options and fits me well in a size small. It’s thick and warm, but if you have sensitive skin, I do find this dress to be a little bit itchy.

Mini Dress
Last is an affordable option from Old Navy. This one fits me well in Petite XS. It’s unlined and a little bit on the thin side, so you may want to add a skirt slip underneath it (if you check out the slip I linked, go for the shortest option 20″). Especially if you’re going to wear tights, it will cling to the tights. The coat fits beautifully in my true size Petite 00. I showed it with the tights to give an example of a warmer outfit, but they’re not necessary. The outfit would also look great with sheer tights.
