10 Items 11 Casual Outfits

For this post, I pulled together some of my personal most worn items. It leans a lot on neutral taupe, camel, black, and white mainly because that’s what I personally tend to gravitate toward in the winter. Spring and summer is a different story. I fully intended to make this post 20 outfits like my others but I’ll be honest and just admit I ran out of time. However, know that these neutral options can be mixed and matched over and over again.

My Sizing: I’m 4’10” and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″ and 36″. My typical inseam is 24-25″. The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online.

Tops

White T-Shirt XS – If you love the way a bodysuit fits but don’t love to wear an actual bodysuit, you’ll love this top. It is thick (not see-through) and fits slimly like a bodysuit. I went up a size due to the compression type fit.

Taupe Mockneck Sweater XS – I think my favorite thing about this sweater is the color. I also love the fit of it, which is a little bit unique. Although it is thick, you can still layer with it (just know it is a little bit bulky under layers).

Cream Hoodie XXS – Unless I’m going somewhere in particular I tend to dress comfortably and casually in the winter. I wear oversized hoodies like this one often. It’s long enough to wear with leggings which is my favorite. It’s also very soft on the inside! I styled it layered here under the long tan cardigan, but it is a little bit too thick to wear as a layer under the other toppers.

Black Turtleneck XS – I also used this top in my 11 Items 20 Outfits post for work. Although it’s only styled one way in this post, it’s a layer you can wear with all of the combinations below! Since the one I have is selling out, there is another option here.

Jackets and Cardigan

Long Tan Cardigan XXS – This long cardigan also known as the Juliette Collarless Blazer is from J.Crew. It’s one of the most worn items in my closet and was also part of my fall capsule. This sweater doesn’t come in petite so it is a little bit oversized. I cuff the sleeves on it for reference.

Taupe Blazer Petite XXS – Another item that I also used in my 11 Items 20 Outfits post. I love the modern fit of this blazer that makes it easy to dress down.

Faux Leather Jacket 0 – This jacket has a great petite fit! I love to wear it with sneakers, but will also wear it with boots and over dresses. I’ve also styled it in this post and this post.

Jeans and Leggings

Light Wash Jeans Petite 00 – I recently ordered a few pairs of Good American jeans after hearing rave reviews. They’re a little more expensive than the jeans I typically buy, but I wanted to see if they lived up to the hype. The Good Girlfriend fit happened to be my favorite! These jeans are rigid, but the girlfriend fit is a little bit roomy, so they’re comfortable. They’re also mid-rise so there is no tummy-squeezing action. If you’re looking for a less expensive option I recommend this pair from Abercrombie, the length will be similar (if you’re similar in height to me) in the short length. I consider both pairs of jeans to be true to size.

Charcoal Straight Jeans Petite 24 – I used a pair of jeans I’ve had since last year for my second option. I think having a pair of black or charcoal jeans in your wardrobe is a great way to mix things up. I particularly like charcoal because there isn’t any obvious fading and they fit and feel like blue jeans. This pair is true to size for me.

Leggings XS Short – I wear leggings multiple times a week and the pair I always grab for it this pair from Aerie. They are hands down the most comfortable and the length is perfect for Petites.
