When it comes to swimwear my personal choices tend to be modest and full-coverage. I like to feel comfortable and covered up and not worry about anything popping out and/or riding up. I’ll wear a two-piece, but I most often choose a one-piece. Today, I’m sharing four options – some new and some very well-loved that are full-coverage, comfortable, and petite-friendly. Plus some great petite-friendly coverups too!

Petite-Friendly One-Piece Swimsuits
My Sizing: I’m 4’10” and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″ and 36″. My typical inseam is 24-25″. The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online.
Boden
Boden swimwear is new to me, but I just had to try one of their pretty prints. The style I chose has a removable strap and a u-bar in the front that still has great coverage but is also flattering. There is slight padding at the chest as well. I almost always size up in swimwear for more room around the hips and a more comfortable fit. Boden runs a little bit large on me overall so I went with a size 2 and it’s perfect! I would equate it to a size small in Aerie suits if you’re familiar with their fit. The pants fit me well in XS Short. They are sheer so you can see the suit through the pants.

Albion Fit
Now for a suit I’ve had for several years and LOVE! I bought this suit when my youngest son was still toddler age so I was holding him/chasing him a lot and wanted a suit I didn’t have to worry about the top coming down. This suit is well-made (at this point I’ve worn mine through five summers) and has great coverage up top and on the bottom. The only drawback of this suit is it doesn’t have support at the top. There are removable (thin) cups, but if you need support I would pick a different suit.

J. Crew Factory
J.Crew Factory has great affordable swimwear! My first two options in this post are a little pricey but don’t worry, the last two are more affordable. I bought a suit last year from J.Crew Factory that was similar in fit to this one and I wore it so often. It’s comfortable and it actually covers your backside unlike a lot of the swimsuits out there these days. The straps aren’t removable (I believe I said they were removable in a previous post – oops!). There is a shelf bra, with lightly lined cups.

Aerie
I have a few aerie suits I love, this is one of the first ones I bought. I love the wrap style that keeps the top secure to your size. It has adjustable straps as well. I sized up in this suit to a size small, the XS rode up too much on me.
