I first styled Spanx Cropped Wide-Leg Pants last year, in olive. I’ve tried several of Spanx pants and the fit is not always spot on (often too long for me), but I have had luck with a few styles. One is the Skinny Perfect Pants and of course, these Cropped Wide-Leg Pants. I would say these pants run small in general, but a size up was too big for me. So, I would go with your true size, unless you’re on the edge of a size, then I would go up one. The pants have a 9.5″ rise and a 24″ inseam. Spanx Cropped Wide-Leg Pants Four Ways
My Sizing: I’m 4’10” and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″ and 36″. My typical inseam is 24-25″. The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online.
With a Denim Jacket
In general, because of the wide-leg fit, I think these pants work best with an outfit that highlights your waist. A top layer works, but I would go with one that hits at the hip like the denim jacket I’m wearing here.

With a Tie Waist Top
This tie-waist top that I included in my Spring Capsule is more versatile than you may think it is. With the drawstring, you can cinch the top up to any height you like, so they can meet the rise of different pairs of bottoms. You can also undo the ties and tuck the top in. I’m wearing it in XXS.

With Chambray
I have loved wearing chambray as a neutral for years, but I especially love it with these soft pink pants. Depending on your work environment, this could make for a great outfit for work!

With a Sweater
I opted for an open-knit sweater layered with a cami for this outfit. I like that you can see the slim fit of the cami through the top, which helps with the balance with the wide bottoms. My exact sweater is from Abercrombie but has since sold out, so I’m linking a similar option (also from Abercrombie).
