Floral Dresses for Spring
My Sizing: I’m 4’10” and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″ and 36″. My typical inseam is 24-25″. The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online.
Active Dress
This is the first active dress I’ve purchased. Although they’ve been popular since last summer, they just didn’t really feel like “me”. Most of them are really short and tight, so despite the shorts underneath, they were still out of my comfort zone. This activewear dress from J.Crew Factory is an exception. The floral print is what made me add it to cart and the fit kept me. This dress has a slim (not super tight) fit and the length is just right. You can add a strapless bra under it if you want to, or wear it without – it has a shelf bra built in. I prefer to wear it with a bra because it’s a one-piece that has to be pulled all the way down for bathroom breaks. I’m wearing it in XXS in regular sizing and love the fit.

Midi Dress
Now for a dress, I wore what feels like once a week last summer. I’m exaggerating, but I wore it often. This dress is unlined, but the fabric is thick and substantial (a.k.a. not see-through). The comfortable smocked top is stretchy and it has a full back so you can wear it with a regular bra. I mostly wore this dress casually with flat sandals or sneakers, but you could also add a pair of heels and dress it up. Since it’s from last year, it’s now on Nordstrom Rack at a discount. I find it to be true to size, I’m wearing it in XXS.

Ruffled Dress
This dress is another option from J.Crew Factory. In petite sizing, it fits me well overall and in length. The top has smocking on the sides to adjust to your chest size (this area is a little roomy on me). This dress is lined and has pockets and would also look great with casual flat sandals.
