We all have our own unique likes and dislikes, but if you’ve ever wanted to copy my style – today I’m sharing what I personally wear the most often with the current season in mind (late summer – early fall).
Overall, my style is very simple with comfort being my top priority. I keep my accessories simple and I often choose colors that are light and neutral, almost always choosing white and cream over black and gray. You will most often find me in a pair of jeans (or jean shorts depending on the weather) with something simple on top. For me, it’s often about the fit and styling that makes an outfit look complete without being complicated.
To keep the post simple, I went with the same pair of jeans in each outfit. I wear many different styles of jeans, (often changing as styles change) but lately, I most often choose high-rise straight jeans. The pair in this post is from Abercrombie and fits me well in my true size (snug at first, but stretches with wear) in short. These jeans also come in several washes if you prefer darker jeans for fall. The color I’m wearing here is “medium”.
Here’s what I’ve been reaching for the most lately. Most of these are going to be best for cooler days, but you could always swap in shorts instead of jeans.

My Sizing: I’m 4’10” and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″ and 36″. My typical inseam is 24-25″. The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online.
Crochet Sweater
I know some of you will scoff at my sweater in the heat of the summer, but if you know me personally, you know I’m someone that is always cold, especially in the A/C during the summer. I’ve been wearing crochet sweaters all summer long and have grown particularly fond of this oversized cardigan from Splendid. It’s soft beige that will wear well now and into early fall and it also comes in navy. As far as styling goes, I push back the sleeves on almost everything. Showing a little skin gives the illusion of length. Especially if you’re wearing something that has an oversized fit, cuffing the sleeves can help with balance. If I’m wearing really high-rise jeans as I have on in this post, I often fully-tuck or half-tuck my top. If my jeans are more of a mid-rise I will leave my top untucked.

White Button-Down
I love button-down tops in general, but there is something so classic about a white one. I wear button-down tops a few ways; fully tucked in like I have here, half-tucked, open over a slim top, or untucked with a few buttons undone on the bottom. I leave the top 2-3 buttons undone and always cuff the sleeves. In the summer I roll them up past my elbows, but as it cools down I just cuff them to show a little wrist.

Striped T-Shirt
A basic T-shirt goes a long way in any wardrobe. This Breton stripe top is a classic that works well in any season. I wear this one a lot because I like that it’s a little bit thicker and love the 3/4 sleeves.

Cozy Cardigan
I bought this cardigan in the spring and have been wearing it all summer (indoors). It’s a great cozy layer that is the perfect amount of oversized for me. I’m wearing it in speckled beige but this sweater comes in 11 colors! Another thing I wear weekly is a simple scoop-neck white T-shirt. My exact top is from Ann Taylor from a previous season, but you can find a similar option here and here.
