I mentioned in my first post about knee-high boots that this season I was really feeling frustrated over my hunt for petite-friendly knee high boots. I was having a conversation with a reader on IG and she mentioned the brand DUO Boots. She hadn’t tried the boots just yet but found that they offered petite sizes. The boots are pricey, so at first I wasn’t sure, but I’ve never seen a brand offer “petite boots” so I knew I just had to try them. The verdict: they’re excellent and I’ve never worn a better fitting pair of boots.

Petite-Friendly Knee-High Flat Boots Three Ways
My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.
Duo Boots Petite Boots
What really struck my attention with Duo Boots is that not only do they offer two of their styles in petite, regular, and tall they also offer multiple shaft widths. I’m not talking about three different options (slim, average, wide) I’m talking eight different calf sizes that go up by roughly 3cm increments. The result is a pair of boots with a perfect fit no matter if you’re petite with slim or wide calves. It’s not just limited to petites, their homepage says “boots for everybody” and it’s true. The boots range from $340 – $405 so they’re definitely an investment pair of shoes. But what I love about them is that the styles are classic, so you can wear them for years to come. The boots are of course new to me so I can’t speak to their quality or wear longterm but my initial impression is that the boots are well made and durable.
I tried both styles they offered in petite but found that my personal favorite is the flat Haltham style. It depends on your style but I think this flat style will be the most versatile. The shaft is roughly 14″ tall (36cm) I went with my true size (size 5) and they have a snug fit. I kept the 5, but if you want to wear thick socks I would consider a size up. I noted that they didn’t have 5.5 in the black pair I wanted so I just kept the 5. As far as calf circumference I was a little lazy at first and didn’t actually measure my calves and just picked the 30cm. It was too tight for me but my exchange only took two days to get to me! So while that was impressive, I would go ahead and measure you calves first. The heeled Dalia style has the same shaft height but runs true to size. This is my first try of this brand so I have no idea if they ever run sales but I will definitely keep an eye out for you!
Before trying this pair I found the Zane boots from Madewell, which are similar in price and style. They work for petites but not as well as this pair but I know you can snag that pair on sale at times so they may be a better price.

I always try my best to have different price points to share but I’m sad to say this season I just struck out too much to continue to try to find other knee-high options. I’m over the huge boxes and numerous returns if I’m honest. So all I have to recommend this year is this pair and the Steve Madden pair I shared in this post. For what it’s worth I tried boots (nearly all of the knee high options with promising measurements) from Shutz, Sam Edelman, Steve Madden, Marc Fisher and stores like Nordstrom, J.Crew/Madewell and Kohls. There are some options at Sam Edelman that are a close fit (I see them fit other petite creators) so they may be a good option if you’re a little bit taller than me.
