I tried to do something a little bit different this year for my NYE outfit ideas. I typically think of a night out, sequin everything when I put together NYE outfits, but many celebrations are low-key. Maybe a nice dinner out, a casual house party with friends, or what I’ll be doing, sitting on my couch in my pjs. While I didn’t include any pjs in the post, I created a few outfit ideas that are a nice blend of dressed up and casual, a step away from the traditional sequin black dress.

NYE Outfit Ideas
My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.
Wide-Leg Pants
This outfit is elevated, yet so simple and comfortable to wear. I 100% copied the outfit right from the Ann Taylor model because I loved it! The pants are a generous wide-leg style made with wrinkle-resistant crepe fabric. The pants have a perfect fit through the waist and although the legs are very wide, the fabric drapes beautifully. The sweater is a wrap style that doesn’t require any tucking, pinning, or styling. It’s not too low in the front and not too high at the bottom. It’s longer in the back than it is in the front. I dressed the outfit up with statement earrings and heels, but you could also make this one work appropriate with a change of accessories.

Satin Pants
I stepped into the satin pants trend with this simple outfit for NYE. The pants are a lower rise with an elastic waist so you’re going to want to wear it with an untucked top. I went with a simple off the shoulder sweater that hits right at the hip.

Metallic Sweater
The sweater I chose for this outfit has metallic details that give it a festive vibe. It has a boxy fit and wide sleeves, but is overall true to size. I paired it with cropped wide-leg pants and festive heels for a simple holiday outfit.

Sequin Lady Jacket
Ok, I want to wear this sequin jacket with my pjs on NYE. I absolutely love it, and will have to find an occasion for it. It has a perfect petite fit, despite being regular sizing. With that said, I would say this jacket must run small and short to be such a great fit in regular sizing. For reference I’m wearing it in XXS.
