I’m slowly moving into what I really love to wear during the winter; leggings and activewear. For the first post I’m sharing my most worn casual leggings outfit combination.

2024 Most Worn Winter Favorites: Casual Pt. 3
My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.

Gap Basic Leggings
A reader recommended Gap leggings to me earlier this year and I’m so glad she did! For years I would pick Aerie’s OG leggings as my favorite for a casual pair, but this pair from Gap has replaced them. To be clear I still pick Aerie’s Real Me leggings as my top pick for activewear/wearing with sneakers leggings (more on that in the next post). But for a casual pair that can be dressed up and down, my pair from Gap is what I’m reaching for the most. This pair is my favorite because they’re soft, breathable, and thick enough that they’re not see-through, but they’re not compressive. In petite they’re a perfect fit and they wash and dry well! I should also note, if you’re able to wear leggings to work, I would still pick a ponte pair in that setting for a little more polish. My favorites are this pair from LOFT and this pair from Quince.
Quince Cashmere Fisherman Turtleneck
I’ll go for any oversized sweater or sweatshirt that covers my backside with a pair of leggings. I’ve been grabbing this cashmere one from Quince a lot lately because it’s so soft and is a little bit elevated. It’s long enough, but not too long. I wash this one on delicate and lay it flat to dry. It did shed quite a bit on first wash, so you may want to wash it separately, but washing hasn’t hindered the sweater at all. I wear it in XS and it’s a perfect oversized fit.
J.Crew Tissue Crepe Turtleneck
I wear a layering t-shirt under all of my sweaters. If it’s a turtleneck (or for a little extra warmth) I reach for the Tissue Crepe Turtleneck from J.Crew. This one is thin, definitely see-through, so it’s not a wear on its own kind of top, but being lightweight makes it great for layering. It runs a little short as well, hitting right at my hip, so it’s great for tucking into leggings without a lot of excess bulk.
BR Factory Timeless Topcoat
I wear this exact outfit quite a bit, including the cozy and soft Timeless Topcoat. I mentioned in Pt. one of this series that this coat tends to be the one I go for the most because it’s the softest and most comfortable. I think the relaxed look pairs well with leggings.
Amazon Boot Socks
I love wearing these thick and warm boot socks with my UGG Mini Boots (and other boots as well). They’re relatively short, but I tend to scrunch them just a bit. The cuff is the thickest part, but the socks are overall thick and warm. I wear a size 5 shoe and they fit me well.
UGG Mini Boots
I wouldn’t have guessed these UGG boots would become something I wear the most in my closet when I bought them, but here we are. They are so comfy and warm, if it’s casual enough, I’m going to wear them! I wear them the most now with leggings, but I may start trying to branch out and wear them with wide-leg jeans as well…we’ll see.
