I styled a few outfits today using a pair of wide-leg jeans from J.Crew Factory. The jeans are the same style but two different colors. I styled them in ways that I think would work well for you if you work in a casual office or profession. I used mostly pieces from J.Crew Factory for the outfits so they would be a in a slighty lower price point, especially if you grab one of their sales!

Outfits for Work with Jeans
My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.
Slim Wide-Leg Sailor Jean
The jeans are true to size and are comfortable and stretchy. Although they are a slim wide-leg, I still find the fit through the thighs and legs to be relatively generous. They have pockets on the front, but also pockets on the back. In petite, they have a 10″ rise and a 27.5″ inseam. I can wear this pair with flats so they’re perfect for wearing with comfortable shoes for work!
With a Blazer
Second to J.Crew, J.Crew Factory puts out excellent blazers. They tend to have the same great fit and be a little less expensive than J.Crew. I love this purple one for a little pop of spring and layered it over a similar colored crewneck sweater for a tonal look.

With a Polo Sweater
The white pair is made from thick denim that isn’t see through. If you don’t love stark white, they also come in ecru without pockets on the front. This sweater is a J.Crew Factory comeback. I’ve purchased it in previous years in different colors, but this mint color is refreshing.

With a Sweater
I had someone ask me if I actually wore sweater like this in real life. It was a totally valid question. I see a lot of outfits online that I don’t actually see out and about. But to answer the question, yes, I do! I tend to wear mine just thrown over the shoulder like I show it rather than tied. To me it’s more relaxed and easy to just throw around your shoulders and go about your business. It’s something I tend to wear if I’m going to be sitting at my desk, or going out to dinner. I don’t really wear it if I’m going to be moving a lot like running errands. While I do like the way it looks, it’s also something I do to have the layer to put on if I get cold.

With a Cropped Trench Coat
J.Crew Factory delivered on a cropped trench coat that I like the fit of. I’ve tried a few since they became popular but something has always been off about the fit for me. The sleeves are often long and wide or they have too much fabric in the front. To be fair, I did buy one from LOFT last year, but I ultimately ended up listing it on Poshmark recently because I found that after a year I didn’t wear it enough because it has so much fabric in the front you have to wear it buttoned. Still a cute jacket, but I wanted one that I could do more with. This one is that! It’s not overwhelming, still has a cute swing style that can be worn open or buttoned and it’s well proportioned through the sleeves.
