Turkey Meatballs: Healthy Recipe

turkeymeatballs
Sometimes I surprise myself. Do you ever have those nights you’re not sure what to make and throw something together on a whim and totally wow your family? That was last night. Not like turkey meatballs are some genius meal no one has every made, but I was, however, surprised how well my concoction turned out. The ‘sauce’ I tried to make to go with them, lets not talk about that, that was a fail.

This recipe made enough for dinner last night and enough left over to add to salad, or even just take on the go.

What you’ll need:

  • 2 lb lean ground turkey
  • 1/4 cup fat free feta
  • 3/4 cup rolled oats
  • 2 egg whites
  • 2 tsp mrs. dash table mix
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • dash of salt (I used pink himalayan sea salt)

Preheat your oven to 375. Put all ingredients in a bowl and mix well. With meatloaf and all meat mixes I used my hands to mix it, it’s easier that way for me.

Separate into golf ball sized balls. Place on a cookie sheet and pop in the oven.

Bake for about 25 minutes and you’re done! Easy and delicious.

I paired mine with a sweet potato sprinkled with cinnamon only, broccoli and a drizzle of trader joe’s steak sauce (since my sauce making was a fail).

I hope you enjoy this quick and easy dinner, this will now be a staple in our household.
