Excuse me for a moment while I spend the next five minutes staring a spinning rainbow wheel. Lately, I’ve had a problem. My internet can’t handle it’s life. We’re currently holed up at my parent’s house while our next abode is under construction and they live in the sticks/country/middle of nowhere, where cell phone and internet reception is few and far between.
The trouble comes in when I’m trying to get my link-up/blog browsing on and I have to refresh each page 10 times before I can admire girlfriend’s OOTD! It’s killing my vibe. Don’t even get me started on my struggle with pinning lately. Doesn’t my poor internet connection know that I need to pin gray and white kitchens obsessively until I’m standing in my own gray and white kitchen?! Apparently not.
I can hardly Google things to death or make random Amazon purchases at 3 am when I can’t sleep anymore, It’s tragic. But then I think back to a time when all I had was a lousy dial up connection and would wait 30 minutes just to log on to AIM or write a post in my Open Diary. Or, even better, when I rarely used the internet at all and spent more time outdoors. So guess what, the struggle that is my internet connection has been killing my online extracurriculars lately, but it has also encouraged me to get up and get out more. So, hooray for that!

slow internet is definitely a bummer. I always use it as an excuse to hit a local coffee shop! Loving this skirt combo. The blue and yellow are great together.

Thanks Jill! I took the speeds at our house for granted!
Glad to hear I’m not alone. π
Thanks Carrie!
Thanks Biana! I almost feel ashamed that I’m on the Internet enough for it to alter my daily routines, haha.
Way to look at the bright side! Love this combo on you! That skirt is gorgeous with cobalt blue!
You make me laugh! Sorry to hear about your internet issues! I always love your blog for the positive spin. It’s so true. I have been trying to remind myself to put my phone down lately! Love your color combo.

We’re so used to high speed internet connections that we totally take it for granted until we don’t have it anymore. I feel for you. Love that cobalt blue top and the skirt is super cute! Every time I see a different color Kendra Scott necklace, I feel I need to get it.
That SKIRT! *heart eyes*
Love the look.
Isn’t is so funny how we are so dependent on fast internet connection?! What did we do before the wife? Love this outfit, the skirt is so fun!

Would love to see you Thursday for TBT Fashion link up.
I think I need that skirt! It would be great for fall!
Perfect skirt for late Summer into Fall. Isn’t it so frustrating when our internet is slow or doesn’t work? How did we become so dependent on it?
Thanks for hosting the link up. We’d love it if you’d join our Tuesday Fashion Party Link Up.

You are right, things have definitely changed. I remember the days of being outside more, reading books instead of blogs and Facebook. I am sorry your connection has been rough. I love the way you styled your skirt.

Oh girl, I can empathize 100%! My husband is a great tech guy at stuff like that, but when it’s slow, it’s slow and sometimes it makes me want to pull my hair out! But I’m like you I just move on to something else and it makes me slow down my pace a little ! Your outfit is simply fantastic, I adore the color combo, and you look gorgeous as can be! I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday and thank you for the link up!
See, something really good can come out of not having internet! π But good lawd, I don’t think I can handle the slowness you’re describing. I’d probably get so frustrated and fall asleep trying. Haha! Anyway, you look beautiful!

Pininterest at one time did not even come up for me. But now it works and all is well with the world! By the why this is a cute look!
Love the look and TOTALLY feel you on the internet connection! I am going up to visit my parents tomorrow for 5 days and I have the exact same problem when I visit! They also live in the friggin boonies and so the internet is painfully slow!

A little time off the internet never hurt anyone! π Slow interest is very frustrating, though. You still managed to great a very cute outfit as well!

That’s what I’ve been thinking! It feels good to be a little unplugged π
Thanks Anna!
Haha! I know the boonies! Hope you have a great time visiting your parents. π
Pinterest is my weakness! When I can’t pin I’m a little sad on the inside.
Thanks girl!! I’m hoping it will serve me well into the fall.
Thanks Traci! I’m going to be sharing some plans and inspiration soon, I’m having so much fun designing and picking things! The wait for it to be completed is going to kill my patience, haha.
Thanks girl! π
Isn’t it the truth?! Lol I’m ashamed but it’s so true. Thanks girl, I was on the fence when I ordered this skirt online, but I find myself wearing it a lot lately.
I give up so many times! It’s sad because sometimes I’ll be trying to comment on someone’s blog and it just doesn’t happen! They need to get some cable in the country!
I can only imagine how awesome it is to have someone techy on hand! Whenever something goes awry with the blog website I’m like OMG, what do I do?! Lol good thing Go Daddy has decent web support.
Thanks miss Megan!
π Thanks girl! Trying to fake that good internet connection look!
Isn’t it crazy?! I can’t even imagine what high school is like now with social media. We didn’t even text message back then!
I saw, you are so sweet! Thank you! I’ve been trying to link-up too but my internet is killing me, haha!
Thanks for empathizing girl! The sad part is our new house is going to be like five minutes down the road, so Im going to need to find a solution to the service out here!
It makes me rage out from time to time! Especially when I’m up late trying to catch up on things while the boys are asleep. Tired and slow internet is a bad combo. Thanks for letting me know about your link-up! I’ll put yours on the list of ones to stop by. π
Thanks Megan! I totally agree. It’s so comfortable and light too!
Gosh I don’t know! I remember dial up, how did I even function back then!
Thanks Jaelan! It’s a new favorite for sure:-)
I feel the same way about Kendra Scott, her necklaces compliment nearly everything!
Haha, so true Zarrah!
Aw thanks Claire!
Me too! It’s bad because even with my slow connection sometimes I still sit on the couch at night willing my Pinterest to load faster, lol. I should just read more.
Thanks Laura!! π
Super pretty look & love the gold accessories!! Thanks for hosting ladies and hope you are having a great summer:)

Love this beautiful shade of blue and the pairing with the black Rayne necklace! It’s so funny how we don’t even realize how much our daily lives depend on the internet until it’s gone for a little bit! I always feel like I’m missing out on the world when that happens!!

If you find one please, please let me know what it is! I used to be in tech and I know of no solution, a couple neighbors are currently in IT and they use their cell when they need something fast but all of them note that their company is paying the bill on that.
We ARE on phone lines, with Century Link (which is no cheaper than cable). When we first moved out here it wasn’t too bad but they just keep adding new customers to the same trunk and it’s already clogged…satellite is no better. Our little neighborhood (20/25 houses on 10 acre lots) is currently pinning our hopes on a new company that supposedly can use extra space on the emergency services towers somehow. I’ll believe it when I see results. Meantime there is supposed to be Federal assistance for providing rural internet but nothing is actually being done in that arena. You can be sure if this were happening in inner city neighborhoods there would be an outcry and activists screaming about it…but out in the country you simply don’t count.
