Artizia is known for their beautiful coats (beautiful clothes in general). The coats are made from lovely, soft fabrics and they’re truly warm. Their coats don’t come in petite, so I did run into some fit issues, but I’m reviewing the good and fit issue areas today of a few of their popular styles: The Slouch, The Cocoon, and The Super Puff.

A Petite Review of Aritzia Coats
My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.
The Super Puff
I’ll start off with the coat that fits me the best of all three, The Super Puff. If you’re looking for a coat that’s made for cold relentless weather – The Super Puff is a worthy investment. I tried the short style to start but I’m planning to try the longer style as well. The short style fits me well and is hip length. I was surprised to find that the sleeves are a great length. The sleeves come over my hands a bit, but I personally prefer that when I’m looking for a cold weather coat. The sleeves have hand liners that hook around your thumbs and they’re warm as well. This coat is water-repellant and wind-resistant. The hood is removable and can be cinched around your face to keep the wind out. This coat comes in 20 different color options. I chose Matte Pearl which is a soft off-white. I tend to size up and go with XS at Aritzia but I chose XXS and that is a good fit for me, so I would say this coat is a size down from your usual size at Aritzia (or your true size).

The Cocoon Coat
Last season The Cocoon Coat was offered in short and was a great fit for me. Sadly, this season, the coat is not offered in multiple lengths. To compare I tried the coat in regular sizing. I found that in a size down the sleeves are a little long and the shoulders are wide. The body of the coat fits well so this is one you could have the sleeves hemmed and get away with it if you love it! It’s a warm fully-lined coat that is a soft wool and cashmere blend. It comes in eight color options.

The Slouch Coat
The Slouch Coat comes in three length options so I tried it in short. The coat has an oversized slouchy fit as the name implies. It’s an on-trend look and this coat is technically proportioned for someone who is shorter if the slouch is what you’re going for. It’s very warm, fully lined and is a soft blend of wool and camel hair. For reference I’m wearing it here in XXS Short.
