Aritzia Effortless Pants: Petite Review

Aritzia Effortless Pants have long been a favorite for many, but it wasn’t until recently that I tried them for myself. They’re overall petite-friendly, with a few caveats – read on for my full review.

Aritzia Effortless Pants: Petite Review

My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.

The beauty of these pants is in the fabric and construction. They’re lightweight with subtle texture and beautiful drape. I’ve tried quite a few pairs of pants on with this same wide relaxed style, but none fit me as well as this pair (through the hips). I appreciate that the front rise isn’t overly puffy and the crepe fabric doesn’t wrinkle easily. When I pulled them out of the package, I didn’t even need to steam them. They are a higher price point but the quality meets the price.

Aritzia Effortless Pants Fit

  • Fit: Size Up
  • Rise: 11″
  • Inseam: 29.5″ (in short)

I originally ordered the pants in my true size 00, but I had to exchange them for a size up. I found them to be very snug through the waist. The pants come in four length options, but I wasn’t able to find extra short in my size. So for this review I tried the short option. On their website you can currently purchase extra short for September pre-order, and I think that length may be worth the wait. In short the pants have an 11″ rise and a 29.5″ inseam. The inseam is too long for me, even with heels (unless you like the bunchy relaxed look), but I think these pants are worth a hem if you’re looking for a staple pair of pants.

I’m wearing them in the post in Nomad Taupe. I paired them with one of Artizia’s crew t-shirts in the same color for a monochromatic look (something that always makes you look taller).

Effortless Cropped Pants

  • Fit: Size Up
  • Rise: 11″
  • Inseam: 22″ (in short)

The cropped style has a petite-friendly 22″ inseam in short. All of the fit notes are the same for this style as the full-length pair, they just have a shorter inseam. I paired them with Artizia’s Regal Vest. This vest has a great petite fit. There is no gaping at the arms and the break in the buttons hits at my waist. In the post I’m wearing it in 00, but I need a size up. The vest is made from the same crepe as the pants.

Overall, I love the fabric and construction of Aritzia’s Effortless Pants and would recommend them! The cropped pair fits me from the store better than the full-length pair, but if I can get my hands on the full-length pants in extra short I’ll be sure to update my review.
