Now for a few casual outfits for teachers. The outfits in this post are not quite business casual or activewear casual – but in between. Although there is an option with jeans, most of these outfits are still not with jeans. I plan to dedicate a separate post to outfits with jeans.

Casual Outfits for Teachers
My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.
Monroe Wide Leg Pants
I think the Monroe Wide Leg pants make a great pair of pants for teachers. They fit true to size (even through the waist) and come in a few different color options. The only drawback of these pants is that they will stretch some with wear. So, you may want to size down to accommodate that stretch. A big plus for these pants is they are a pair of wide-leg pants with a short enough inseam (27.5″) to wear with flats!
In the first outfit, I paired the pants with a short-sleeved printed top that’s easy to throw on and go. I was specially asked for options with sleeves that were easy to wear, and I think this top fits that. It also looks great with jeans.

I also paired the pants with the oversized button-down I wore in this post. Since it’s oversized, it billows out when tucked into the pants, but it still works well!

Of course, an outfit post for teachers wouldn’t be complete without at least one denim jacket outfit! I chose my denim jacket from LOFT, which has a great petite fit!

Oversized Button-Down
Now for a few outfits with an oversized button-down top. This is my favorite way to look a little polished but still really comfortable. In the first outfit, I paired it with a dark wash slim-straight pair of jeans from J.Crew. These jeans have been on a crazy sale lately, making them an affordable option for teachers. Last I checked, they were on final sale, but they’re true to size and worth the gamble!

I also paired the top with Spanx Cropped Wide Leg Pants. These pants don’t fit the affordable price range, but I think the style is one that works well for teachers. They’re compressive and border on running a size small. I wear them in my true size.
