There are so many different styles of jeans out now and one of my personal favorites is the cropped flare. For some, this is a harder style to get behind because it feels a little bit “high water” but for me, it’s the perfect step away from skinny jeans. I get mixed reviews from readers who try them, some love them like I do and others aren’t a big fan but I always say – wear what YOU feel good in (skinny jeans included). Cropped flare jeans fit slim up top to the knee and then slightly flare out at the bottom. Because they’re slim up top they don’t add any bulk and look great in a comfortable mid-rise. The subtle flare at the bottom makes it easy to tuck your boots underneath. Just like with straight jeans, I think these jeans look best if they come close to the top of your foot if you want to wear them with boots.

Cropped Flare Jeans Three Ways
My Sizing: I’m 4’10” and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″ and 36″. My typical inseam is 24-25″. The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online.
For this post, I’m using Madewell’s Kick Out Crop jeans in black and dark wash denim. Both styles are true to size, have comfortable stretch, and are mid-rise.
With Heels
I honestly can’t think of a style of jeans/pants that you can’t wear with heels. They go with everything!
