I put out a request on Instagram asking for your ideal date night and your answers were the best! Some date nights were the same as mine, but others were something different – they gave me ideas for future date nights and they also inspired these outfits. I took the top answers and created an outfit for every occasion.

Dinner and a Movie
The top answer was dinner and a movie – my favorite kind of date as well. Many of you said you liked being casual and liked carrying a jacket or layer to stay warm in the movie theater. So, in one outfit I added a light kimono and in the other, I added a denim jacket. Both outfits are also just as cute without the layer to work well in the summer heat. I chose a high-rise pair of jeans in one outfit and a mid-rise pair in the other to show different options depending on what you find more comfortable.

I’m wearing these jeans in 25 extra short and they’re a true crop for Petites! This size tends to go fast so snag them while you can. The length you see on me is the length unaltered.

Walk Around Town
Several of you said you liked taking a walk around town or the park after a nice dinner and I loved that idea! Of course, the requirements for that were flat comfortable shoes. I picked out a really comfortable and floaty dress that is a little bit dressed up but also easy to walk and move around in. The length would also look great with a pair of sneakers if you wanted to go that route. This dress is an Amazon find and I love it! It fits really well. The buttons are not functional, but the armholes are a great length and won’t show your bra straps. The dress also comes in other colors. The fabric feels like the gauze material that’s been popular this summer.

Mini Golf
I remember quite a few mini golf dates with my husband when we were teenagers, so when several of you mentioned this it brought back memories! It’s been years since we went out for a round of mini golf, just the two of us, but it made me want to do it again. I chose an outfit that was comfortable for moving around for this one.
I’ll be sharing more about the pieces in this outfit in an upcoming Abercrombie try-on, but I’ll mention that the top is a crop top. On someone short like me, it’s a great length for tucking into something high-rise.

Beach Picnic
I don’t personally live close enough to the beach for regular beach picnics, but many of you do (I’m a little jealous)! The floaty dress I chose for this outfit is actually a girls’ dress. I can fit into girls’ clothing but rarely choose it because being small I already fight looking like a little girl in things. However, I bought this dress in-store and didn’t even realize it was girls sizing until I picked it up! It’s super cute and the smaller fit works well on someone who is petite. It’s also affordable so that a plus! I’m wearing it in a size 12. I added heels just to mix things up for the post, but really heels on the sand don’t work all that well. I would more than likely swap them out for sandals.

Dinner and Dancing
This category encompasses all of you who said you liked to get a little dressed up. The dress I chose is t-shirt material so it’s comfortable, but has a twist detail and fit that elevates it. I’m wearing it in XS here, but I really need the XXS – it’s a little bit big on me.

Ice Cream Date
After movie dates, ice cream dates are a favorite of mine. I added a pair of wedges here, but sandals would work well too. The top is from Amazon and I think it’s the cutest thing. The straps look super long in the amazon picture, but they’re actually just stretchy so they fit your proportions. It also comes in other colors and prints.
