Fashion always comes back around, and denim midi skirts take me back. I remember denim midi skirts being a thing when I was a senior in high school. I had a white one and a denim one from Gap and wore them regularly. (I wore one to my future husband’s high school graduation, complete with wooden Candies heels).

Four Ways to Wear a Denim Midi Skirt
My Sizing: I’m 4’10” and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″ and 36″. My typical inseam is 24-25″. The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online.
Needless to say, I was excited to see denim skirts trending again and made it a point to find a petite-friendly option to style. I found one at Banana Republic Factory that I styled four ways for this post. In terms of fit, the skirt is a great length, and overall true to size (with a little extra room around my waist). The skirt is rigid denim and has no stretch.
With a Tank Top
For a casual look, you can go with a slim-fit tank top and low heels (flat sandals look great also). I love the slim fit and color of this tank top from J.Crew Factory.

With a Flutter Sleeve Top

With a Blazer
If you want to dress up a denim midi skirt a bit, try adding a blazer. The blazer in this outfit is my favorite J.Crew blazer, the Parke Blazer. (True to size, I wear it in Petite 00).

With a Button-Down Top
Choose an oversized button-down and keep a few buttons open at the top to keep this look on trend. I went with black to branch away from my typical white button-down.
