We had the pleasure of working on a FitFluential campaign this week for the SMART Detour Bar. By working, I mean eating yummy protein filled snack bars!
We are busy people, of course, we love to eat well also. When you’re on the go, an easy grab and go snack that will give you lasting satiety is crucial to avoiding starvation and subsequent all out binges.
Having an easy snack like Detour Bar is great. All three of us gave the bar a try and our nutrition experts, Dr. V and Erica reviewed the ingredient list and nutrition content, so we are going to give a run down of not only the taste and satiety, but also the nutritional content!
Dr. V’s Review: I feel the Detour bars are a good tasting protein packed snack with a low glycemic index and a good amount of fiber for a snack. An added benefit, I found a healthy snack that my 12 year old daughter loves.
Erica’s Review: I like how the bars include ingredients that are recognizable. They are low in fat and provide a lot of good value for 130 calories like 10 grams protein and 3 grams of fiber. This is the perfect snack to keep on hand when you are on the go for when hunger strikes!
Brooke’s Review: I tried both the Apple Cinnamon and the Blueberry and felt the taste was great. The texture was slightly chewy, but the greek yogurt on top was the perfect finisher. I chose to eat mine as an afternoon snack and stayed satisfied, not necessarily full (but what bar makes you full) until dinner and avoided over eating from starvation by dinner time! I definitely recommend giving them a try!
