What do you love to write about most and why?
I love to write about natural hair health and style and upgrading your wardrobe one piece at a time. I love to write about those things because as women we take pride in our hair and style. What my readers love most is that I am not a professional hair stylist or fashion expert, I speak from experience and true trial and error. If I can do it…you can DEFINITELY do it.
What are your long term goals?
My long term goal is to produce a magazine that with every issue it provides resources and advice for women to reach their goals. I imagine it literally being your monthly hand and work book for success!
Favorite healthy snack or meal?
My favorite health snack, and you must try it, is Special K Chocolate Delight cereal in warm milk with dried cherries. I usually make this at night because I am craving something sweet. It calms my sweet nerve and the warm milk and dried cherries help me relax allowing me to get to sleep easy (I usually have a hard time).
Favorite beauty product?
My favorite beauty products are Mary Kay SPF Tinted Moisturizer and Bonne Bell Clear Eye Mascara. I love the light weight coverage and flawless finish the moisturizer provides and clear mascara elongates my lashes with a natural look.
Favorite designer?
Michael Costello would have to be my favorite designer! His couture designs over the years have been my fashion inspiration and Beyonce’s Grammy Dress made me officially obsessed!
Favorite work out?
My favorite work out is on this machine, most are called Gliders or Cross Trainers. It’s a machine that mixes the treadmill, elliptical and stair climber. I do not like to work out, so I go for machines that work out most of my body in the shortest amount of time. Although the time is short, no more than 30 minutes, I push at a really fast pace keeping my heart rate no less than 170 and I burn on average 500 calories. Most exercises or machines would take me hours to burn that many calories, increase my heart rate or workout some many muscle groups. It’s my primary cardio 3-4 days a week.
