I found a few petite-friendly dresses recently that I think will be beautiful in fall family photos. I chose a range of colors to fit multiple color schemes.

Petite-Friendly Fall Family Photo Dresses
My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.
Mauve Tulle Skirt
The first option isn’t a dress but a skirt and top combo from Amazon. I can’t think of a better occasion to wear a tulle skirt than for a photo session. I think they’re beautiful in photos and I love this dusty mauve/brown, it pairs beautifully with olive and gold as complimenting outfits for your family.

Dark Purple Maxi Dress
I found this dark purple floral dress from Baltic Born. They don’t carry petites, so I went straight for their midi dresses. This one ended up being a perfect maxi length on me that I can wear with flats or heels. The dress is fully lined, has stretch at the chest and flutter sleeves. This dress would look pretty with brown, tan, or gold complimenting outfits.

Dark Green Lace Dress
This green dress would be a beautiful statement in photos. Being dark green, this one could work for holiday photos as well. It’s fully lined with stretch up top. The lace sleeves are a little bit scratchy but since they’re flowy they don’t rub on your arms. This dress also comes in black.

Dark Blue Dress
This blue dress is a unique shade of blue that would pair well in photos with other shades of blue, creams and tans. The skirt is fully lined and the top is stretchy in the back. The fabric has a crinkle texture and it also has pockets.

Rust Dress
I bought this velvet Somerset dress from Anthropologie a few years ago and it has remained one of my favorite fall dresses. It makes a beautiful statement, especially in a photo. I was excited to see it return this season, but I can’t tell if my exact color is available. It looks the most similar to the red option. For reference I’m wearing it here in Petite XXS.

Red Dress
This red dress would be perfect for holiday photos. It’s one of the few long sleeve options I could find and it’s a perfect petite-friendly maxi length. It’s overall true to size, with a little extra room through the top on me.
