Fall family photos, fall weddings, and more – the season of celebrating is upon us. I’ve been working on some ideas for this post for some time, but I struggle with the dresses I order going out of stock before I can post about them. Since my blog is about finding a great fit, I like to have personal experience with the clothes that I recommend before I post them to the blog, but when it comes to dresses it’s not always easy to do. In this case, a couple of these outfits are still available, but a couple have already sold out – so I’m linking several other options that based on their measurements should be a great petite fit as well. I’m also sharing coordinating family outfits and color combinations to create family photos with each one.
Red + Denim
I’ll start with one that is currently in stock (for now)! This dress from Pink Lily would be great for family photos, but also for casual fall occasions. On Instagram I asked you where you would wear it and some of the answers were, “brunch, coffee date, and date night.” The dress is roomy with a light fabric that moves freely. It is not lined, but it’s not see through. I’m wearing it in XS and would say it runs true to size with the ability to size down possibly.

I think this dress would look great for family photos with a variety of color combinations, I chose to mix in denim and white with it.

Black + Tan
This outfit is also still in stock. The skirt runs true to size in a size 00 for me and I sized up in the turtleneck because it runs slim. The boots are true to size and work well for Petites. I picked black and tan outfits for the family to go with this one.

Green + Camel
Now to the dresses that have started to sell out. This one is sold out in petite (currently) but is still available in regular sizing. I’m wearing it in Petite XS for reference. It has a drawstring waist and can be worn off and on the shoulder. I paired it with camel and green for coordinating family outfits.

Burgundy + Navy
This one is also sold out, but I found a lot of beautiful burgundy dresses that I’m thinking will be petite-friendly based on their sizing. I paired navy with burgundy for coordinating family outfits.
