From the messages that come through my inbox, I know layers are essential year-round at the office. Over the summer, I shared a few outfits for work that were sleeveless (to beat the summer heat). But the indoor A/C called for something a little extra. Today, I’m talking about my favorite layers, not just for fall and winter but year-round at the office.

Fall Layers for the Office
My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.
Blazer
A blazer is an easy choice for the office. I find the best petite options at J.Crew/ J.Crew Factory, Ann Taylor/LOFT, and Banana Republic Factory. My absolute top pick goes to J.Crew. They have the best petite fit all around, and you can’t beat the beauty and quality of their blazers! I’m wearing the Helena Blazer in this post. It’s true to size and has a modern boxy fit.

Long Cardigan
There’s something about feeling cozy sitting at your desk, and this long cardigan does that for me. This is the Juliette sweater from J.Crew. It’s a staple I’ve had in my wardrobe for years. I just grabbed this new color they released, and I love how versatile it is. Sizewise, this sweater runs large, so I recommend a size down if you can. I can’t size down, so I’m wearing it slightly oversized.

Sweater Blazer
The sweater blazer is the best of both worlds- polished, professional, and comfortable. I love this one from Quince because it has a relaxed fit. It resembles a sweater blazer J.Crew used to make that I also loved just as much. This blazer comes in multiple colors. I’m wearing it here in XS in speckled beige.

Wrap
This wrap is from Edited Pieces (petite style blogger Jean Wang‘s brand). The wrap is reversible and comes in a 25″ option that’s perfectly petite-friendly! It’s a cozy and elegant option that I think is perfect for the office. Plus, you can’t beat feeling all wrapped up while sitting at your desk.
