I’ve been getting many requests to see outfit options that work for moms. Either for those on-the-go days or weekend sporting events. So I created two posts with outfits with sneakers, not just for moms, but for anyone who appreciates a comfortable outfit. I will be separating the posts by casual options with jeans, and activewear outfits with joggers and leggings.

Fall Outfits with Sneakers: Casual
My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.
Levi’s Wedgie Straight Jeans
I wanted to keep the outfits easy to wear and recreate so I opted for the same pair of jeans and sneakers for the outfits. I chose a pair of Levi’s Wedgie Straight Jeans. It took me a while to come around to these jeans, but I finally found the fit I like in this pair. For me, the key was to go down a size. It makes for a tight fit at first, but the classic cotton denim loosens with wear, making them a perfect fit. I chose a dark, low stretch option and am wearing the 26″ inseam in the post. The jeans have a 10″ rise and are 99% cotton with 1% elastane. The Wedgie jeans are intended to be an ankle style, but they are full-length on me – coming to the top of my foot. I think this length is a perfect pairing for slim high-top sneakers. The sneakers tuck under your jeans and you can pair them with warm socks so no naked ankles in cold weather.
Flannel Top
You can go full on fall with a plaid option of this flannel top or go neutral like I did with this cream color. This flannel top is from Old Navy and has a slightly oversized boyfriend fit. It is petite sizing, so it’s well proportioned and fits well through the sleeves. The top is flannel, but still lightweight and great for layering. I layered it over a vintage cotton t-shirt from Old Navy. This top isn’t see through at all and is well proportioned for petites. On the model the top is short, but on me, it’s fits longer and you’re able to tuck it in.

Shirt Jacket
I was pleasantly surprised by the fit of this shirt jacket from Old Navy. It has a great cropped length and fits me well through the sleeves. The jacket has a brushed flannel feel and is lightweight, but still warm. It also comes in black and two plaid options. This outfit is layers on layers. I wore the same vintage t-shirt from above layered under a cashmere fisherman sweater from Quince under the jacket.

Cropped Sweater
I love the deep red of this cropped sweater from Aerie. It has a wide collar, so I think it looks great layered. It starts at XXS and I chose this size. It has a roomy fit, but I would say it’s true to size. I also added a J.Crew Factory City Coat to this outfit. I’m planning a post dedicated to petite-friendly topcoats and this coat is one that I’ll be featuring. I’m a longtime fan of the fit of J.Crew coats. If you need that extra petite-friendly sleeve length, their petite coats are some of the shortest you’ll find right from the store. The factory options are also a great fit. A little lower on the quality scale, but still great coats. The city coat runs true to size, I’m wearing it in petite 00.

Cashmere Boyfriend Sweater
I love a big cozy sweater and this cashmere boyfriend sweater from Quince checks all the boxes for me. It’s made from high-quality Mongolian cashmere and is so warm and soft. I’m wearing it here in XS in the color oatmeal.
