In this post I have three sweaters that I think make for a subtle festive outfit. One sweater is a true holiday sweater, but the other two are options you can wear all winter long.

Festive Sweater Outfits
My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.
Fair Isle Sweater
I love when the fair isle sweaters start to come out for the season. Especially the beautiful options at J.Crew that often have unique colors. This burgundy one caught my eye not only for the vibrant colors, but also the cropped fit. The sweater is true to size, (I’m wearing it in XXS), and I think it fits well through the sleeves, despite not being petite. I always layer a long sleeve t-shirt under all of my sweaters for comfort (most sweaters irritate my skin, even really soft ones) and in this case it helps keep you covered despite the cropped length.

Red Sweater
This deep red sweater is perfect for the holidays and beyond. The sweater is thick and warm and I love the gold buttons. I find it to fit true to size overall. I’m wearing it in XXS for reference. The jeans are straight jeans from Quince. I’m planning a full review of them soon – but I think they’re an excellent $50 option for petites! Stretchy, comfortable and overall true to size.

Holiday Sweater
Now for a true holiday sweater! I bought this sweater from Kiel James Patrick a few years ago and love pulling it out every Christmas. It’s pricey, but it’s well-made and something that will last for years to come. For size reference, I’m wearing it in XS and it fits me well overall. I also found this less expensive option on Amazon. The Amazon sweater runs larger than my sweater, but is still a good fit.
