Last month the focus was on casual work environments with my teacher friends and back-to-school in mind. My personal office dress code is casual as well, but I never mind dressing it up a bit if it means I can help a fellow petite find something to love in their work wardrobe.
So, today I’m sharing five business casual/professional outfits for your work week.
Five Outfits for the Office
My Sizing: To help you pick the best size for you, I list my sizing beside each item. I’m 4’10” and around 105lbs. I’m considered pear-shaped and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″.

I made it a point to find pants that weren’t skinny for this post and Ann Taylor delivered. These faux-suede straight pants have a wide leg that still hugs your curves in all the right places. If you’re wider in the hips, I would recommend the curvy fit as they definitely hug in that area. I ordered both fits, and the regular fit would have required a size up for me. The fabric is heavy and soft so it drapes beautifully.

A wide-leg crop for Petites that’s a true crop – yes, please! I can’t tell you how excited I was to find these pants at Ann Taylor. Wide-leg pants should hit a couple of inches above your ankle to look the best, and despite searching all year, I had not been able to find a single pair that wouldn’t need to be hemmed for that length. Of course, there is nothing wrong with tailoring and hemming, I’m all for it, but I make it a point to show unaltered petite clothes on my blog so you know what you’re ordering. The pants run true to size, I’m wearing them in Petite 00. I paired it with a black top for a lengthening effect with the blazer.

Wednesday
This dress is a beautiful plum and the fabric is soft and stretchy. I appreciate that it has a slim fit without being too tight for the office. As the weather cools you could add a collared top underneath for an on-trend and still professional look. The dress runs true to size, I’m wearing it in Petite 00.

One trend I’m really loving for fall is the return of the sweater vest! I love that this one has a classic fit that looks great now without a top underneath, but layers beautifully too. The vest is true to size in my typical size at Target, XS. I paired it with a classic white top and the Cameron pants from J.Crew. The top is true to size, but I recommend sizing up in the pants.

Friday
This dress that I first shared in a J.Crew Factory try-on is beautiful on its own but also looks great with a blazer for the office. It runs true to size, I’m wearing it in Petite XXS. The v-neck is low on me, I prefer to wear a black cami with it.
