Flare Jeans Three Ways

I’m declaring the flare as my personal favorite denim/pant trend this season. With a heeled boot or a pair of heels, flare pants and jeans give the illusion of legs for days, something this short girl really appreciates. Another thing I love about flares is you can wear warm cozy socks under them and actually keep your ankles warm – something we haven’t been doing in a while with the whole skinny jeans and bootie combinations. Flares look great with a cropped top that hits at the hip, but they also look great with longer lengths, which in my opinion are always comfortable to wear. Today, I’m sharing three different petite options and outfit combinations with a pair of flare jeans.

Flare Jeans Three Ways

Sizing Reference: I’m 4’10” and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. I share my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. For flare pants in particular my best inseam (with heels) is 29″-30″.

Corduroy Flares

I found this corduroy pair from LOFT recently and they sold out in petite before they even arrived on my doorstep. I debated on even sharing them because I know it can be frustrating when I style something that isn’t available anymore, but I decided it was worth sharing them in case they restock – and offer up some alternatives as well. The LOFT pair is definitely one of my favorite things I’ve bought this season. They have just the right amount of flare, not too big, not too small, and a comfortable high rise. In chocolate, they look great with a matching pair of brown boots. I picked a pointed toe because it just adds to the lengthening effect. You’ll need a pair of heels (3″) with them if you’re my height (4’10”) but I prefer to wear flares with heels anyway so to me the length is perfect. I picked a cozy turtleneck sweater to pair with them.

Dark Wash Flares

The next pair of flares is from Madewell. I bought these in the curvy fit because they were sold out of my size in the regular fit and I figured it was worth a shot. Most of the time the curvy fit at Madewell is a little bit oversized on me, but this pair fits perfectly! They are very high-rise, with an 11″ rise. They did restock in the regular (not curvy) fit, I would just go for regular despite the fact that curvy fit me as well too. Linking both below. This pair is a little bit shorter in length than the other two in the post, but still, looks best with some sort of heel (can be a lower 1-2″ heel).

Black Flare Jeans

Last is another pair of flares from Madewell. They’re rigid denim with a high 10″ rise. They’re also comfortable like the dark pair but have less stretch. I styled them for the post with a long vest but Ive also worn them with a cropped sweater in this post.
