Wide-leg pants continue to be a trendy choice and I often get messages about ways to wear them for Petites. It’s hard to find a no-hem length but I have come across a few over the last year that work well. Of course, hemming is always an option. You can wear them with flats or heels, but going for a heel is going to make you look longer and taller. Since the bottom is voluminous I think the best overall balance comes with wearing your top tucked in.

Four Ways to Wear Wide-Leg Pants
My Sizing: I’m 4’10” and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″ and 36″. My typical inseam is 24-25″. The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online.
Abercrombie Crepe Pants
I used two different pairs of pants for this post. The first one is a pair of crepe pants from Abercrombie. I first tried the Sloan pants from Abercrombie last fall and loved them! However, this crepe pair has a flat front, which I love even more (less puff from the pleats). In both pairs, I go up a size and find the waist to run small. In short, I can wear these with a low heel and a platform sneaker, if you want to go with flats. In each outfit, I wore heels, but went with a short sleeve sweater in one and a tie-neck blouse in the other.

Wit & Wisdom Ponte Pants
The second pair in this post came from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. This pair is soft and stretchy and can also be worn with a low heel. They have a 28″ inseam that can also work with a platform flat. They have a lower rise than the Abercrombie pair and are a pull-on style with a clasp closer (no zipper). They mostly sold out during the sale, but since many of you purchased them, I wanted to style them a few ways.
